PIAA girls basketball pairings: Top teams from WPIAL Class 3A scheduled for triple-header

The top three girls basketball teams in WPIAL Class 3A will share a gym Friday night for the first round of the state playoffs.

Peters Township will host a PIAA triple-header that includes WPIAL champion Bishop Canevin at 5 p.m., runner-up East Allegheny at 8 p.m. and third-place finisher Mohawk at 6:30 p.m. Sites and times for first-round games were announced Sunday.

The five-round state tournament concludes March 22-24 with finals at Giant Center in Hershey.
