The boys and girls swim teams at Chartiers Valley, Laurel Highlands, McKeesport and Montour will drop to Class AA next season.

The WPIAL board of directors this week approved updated section alignments for the 2018-19 swimming and diving season with only a few changes from this past season. Among the differences, those four schools and Obama Academy of the City League are the only teams changing classification. Obama moves up to Class AAA.

Additionally, Shaler, Central Catholic, Oakland Catholic and East Allegheny are switching sections next season.
