The Herald Spotlight Athlete: Fox Chapel’s Sloan Rost

Sloan Rost, a sophomore on the Fox Chapel lacrosse team, got her season off to a fast start as she scored eight goals in a season-opening 18-3 win over Latrobe. She also plays on the FC field hockey team and was the leading scorer last fall.

If you weren't involved in lacrosse or field hockey, what sport would you be playing?

Maybe track to stay in shape and tennis. I play a lot of tennis with my friends in the summer.

Do you think the Pirates will have a winning season in 2018?

I hope so. I'm optimistic, even though they traded their best player.

What is the best book you've ever read?

The Harry Potter series.

What three words would you use to describe yourself?

Enthusiastic, loud and hard-working.

What is your favorite vacation destination?

Costa Rica. We went there last summer.

Who is your favorite athlete?

Antonio Brown.

What three items have to be in your refrigerator?

Raspberries, hummus and lemonade.

If you could go somewhere you've never been before, where would you go?

Thailand.

What is your favorite TV show?

“The Office.”

What would make up your all-time favorite meal?

Filet mignon, a baked potato and raspberries.

What junk food do you have a weakness for?

Cupcakes.

Is there a food you refuse to eat?

Eggs.

Who would you like to see disappear from public view?

Taylor Swift.

Who would be your dream date?

Bradley Cooper.
