The WPIAL Class AAA and AA boys volleyball playoffs are getting closer as teams prepare themselves for the stretch run of the regular season.
The Western Pennsylvania Boys Volleyball Coaches Pool for Week 7 was released Monday based off votes from the WPIAL's 40 head coaches.
In Class AAA the top four remain the same — No. 1 North Allegheny, No. 2 Butler, No. 3 Bethel Park and No. 4 Penn-Trafford.
Norwin and Hempfield trade places, as the Knights move up to No. 5 with the Spartans at No. 6.
Seven through 10 also are the same from last week, as Shaler is No. 7, Seneca Valley is at No. 8, Latrobe checks in at No. 9, and Canon-McMillan is at No. 10.
In Class AA, Ambridge stays at No. 1, but Deer Lakes moves to No. 2 based on its come-from-behind 3-2 victory last week over section rival Derry.
The Trojans move down one spot to No. 3.
The only other change comes in at No. 10, as Thomas Jefferson moves into that spot, and Keystone Oaks drops out. The Eagles, however, did receive votes for this week's poll.
Seton La Salle is at No. 4, while Montour is at No. 5, Beaver County Christian is No. 6, Trinity is No. 7, Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic is No. 8 and Bishop Canevin is No. 9.
The Players of the Week for Class AAA, also voted on by the coaches, are Baldwin senior middle hitter Mike Goga and North Allegheny outside hitter Canyon Tuman.
The Class AA Players of the Week are Thomas Jefferson senior middle hitter Logan Burnsworth and Montour senior libero Luke Trohaugh.
