With just over a week left in the 2018 WPIAL softball regular season, here are the teams that have punched their ticket to the district postseason. Check out TribHSSN.TribLive.com for exclusive broadcast coverage of the WPIAL softball playoffs and the updated list of playoff-bound teams. This list is updated through Thursday, May 3:

Class 6A

(6A scenarios: Bethel Park, Mt. Lebanon and Peters Township can clinch with a win in section finale. On Tuesday, Bethel Park hosts Baldwin, Mt. Lebanon hosts Upper St. Clair and Peters Township hosts Canon-McMillan. Shaler can clinch with a win at Pine-Richland on Monday.)

Class 5A

(5A scenarios: Gateway, Kiski Area and Plum can clinch with a win in section finale. On Tuesday, Gateway hosts Woodland Hills, Kiski Area is at Armstrong and Plum plays at Franklin Regional.)

Class 4A

Beaver

(4A scenarios: Winner of Highlands at Derry on Friday will clinch. If Highlands beats Derry, then loses to Knoch on Monday, Derry and Uniontown also will clinch. Keystone Oaks can clinch with wins over West Mifflin on Monday and South Fayette Tuesday and a West Mifflin loss to Elizabeth Forward on Tuesday. Ambridge at New Castle winner on Tuesday will clinch.)

Class 3A

(3A scenarios: Valley can clinch with a win at East Allegheny on Friday and a win over Deer Lakes TBA.)

Class 2A

Seton LaSalle

Serra Catholic

Our Lady of the Sacred Heart

Brentwood

Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic

Laurel

(2A scenarios: Carlynton can clinch with a win at OLSH on Friday. Northgate can clinch with at least one victory when it hosts Springdale in a doubleheader on Tuesday. Springdale can clinch if it wins both games against Northgate. Shenango can clinch with two more section wins. It plays at Neshannock on Friday, at South Side Beaver TBA, hosting Laurel on Monday and at Mohawk on Tuesday.)

Class A

(A scenarios: Bishop Canevin can clinch with a win over Jeannette on Monday.)
