Sewickley Academy teammates faced off for the second time this week on Friday, but this time the WPIAL Class AA doubles tennis title was on the line.

Will Nocito and Dylan Parla defeated Panthers teammates Cole Luther and Saarang Mulukutla, 6-2, 6-0, to capture the district crown.

Nocito and Parla won 6-2, 6-2 over their teammates in the Section 4-AA finals on Tuesday.

Both tandems advanced to the PIAA championships, which are set for May 25-26 in Hershey. They will be joined by Valley's Alex Ward and Michael Odrey, who defeated South Park's Devin Stolar and Logan Mannheimer, 6-1, 7-5, in the consolation match.

In Class AAA, Shady Side Academy's Naman Dua and Colin Gramley defeated top-seeded Ben Ringelsen and Ted Donegan from Hampton, 6-4, 6-3. Both teams advanced to the PIAA tournament.

Allderdice won the consolation match when North Allegheny defaulted. Only the top two Class AAA teams advance to the state tournament.
