Zach Shoemaker scored on an assist from Dylan Mira to guide No. 4 Upper St. Clair to a 3-2 victory over Mt. Lebanon in double overtime Thursday night in a Section 2-4A boys soccer contest in the South Hills.

Mira and Colin Sibley also scored for the Panthers (5-2-2, 5-0-1), who stayed unbeaten in section play.

Pine-Richland 1, North Allegheny 0 — Abhinav Venkatakrishnan scored for Pine-Richland (), which scored an upset over No. 2 North Allegheny (6-2, 5-2) in Section 1-4A.

Laurel Highlands 1, Ringgold 0 — Colby Davis scored 16 minutes into the first half to give Laurel Highlands (7-1-1, 5-0-1) a Section 3-3A victory.

Thomas Jefferson 8, West Mifflin 0 — Preston Lutz and AJ Meshanko each scored three times for Thomas Jefferson (5-2-1, 4-1-1) in a Section 3-3A win.

Gateway 8, McKeesport 0 — In Section 4-3A, Alex Guitteriz and Matt Conti each tallied hat trick to lift Gateway (2-7, 1-5) to victory.

Quaker Valley 7, Freedom 0 — Pierce Diggins and Thomas David each had two goals as No. 2 Quaker Valley (6-3, 6-0) won a Section 4-2A contest.

North Catholic 11, New Brighton 0 — Joe Kearney and Ryan Austustine each had three goals for No. 1 North Catholic (6-1, 5-1) in a Section 4-2A win.

Waynesburg 5, Brownsville 0 — Gavin Benson scored twice for Waynesburg (7-2, 5-1) in a Section 3-2A win.

Serra Catholic 7, Geibel 0 — Jimmy Moon had three goals and an assist for Serra Catholic (4-1, 3-1) in a Section 2-A win.

Seton LaSalle 4, Brentwood 3 — Gabe Rosario’s three goals paced No. 1 Seton LaSalle (6-2, 5-1) to a Section 4-A victory.

Latrobe 4, Hempfield 0 — Matt Henderson, Luca Diianni, Nolan Augostini and Nate Myers all scored to guide Latrobe (6-2, 6-1) to a Section 3-AAA win over Hempfield (2-6, 2-5).

Belle Vernon 6, Albert Gallatin 0 — Markello Apodiakos had three goals, Aaron Brown added two and JoJo Schwerha added a goal as Belle Vernon (8-1-1, 5-1-1) won in Section 3-3A.

Mt. Pleasant 5, Derry 0 — Jack Shirley scored twice, and Brad Tait and Arthur Bartlow added goals as Mt. Pleasant (5-2, 4-2) won in Section 2-2A.

Southmoreland 4, Yough 1 — Noah Kinter scored twice, and Kullen McCoy and Brett Glowacki each added goals to guide Southmoreland (4-3, 4-2) to a Section 3-2A win.

McCoy, Glowacki, Kevin Barnhart and Brendan Moore all had assists.

Monessen 8, California 2 — Cam Frolo scored five goals to guide Monessen (4-1-2, 3-1-1) to a Section 4-A win.

St. Joseph 3, Greensburg Salem 2 — Daniel Frabregas recorded a hat trick as St. Joseph won in nonsection play. Mason Hurleut made four saves for St. Joseph (1-7). Greensburg Salem dropped to 5-3.

Deer Lakes 4, Freeport 3 (OT) — A.J. Dorman scored with two minutes remaining in double overtime, lifting Class AA No. 3 Deer Lakes to a Section 2 victory.

Colton Spence scored in the final minute of regulation to send the game to overtime for Deer Lakes, which trailed 3-1 at halftime. Ryan Rodgers and Devin Murray also scored for the Lancers (8-0-1, 5-0-1).

Hunter Hardin scored two goals and Cole Bennick added one goal for Freeport (5-4, 3-3).

Springdale 6, Riverview 0 — Michael Krason scored two goals and had one assist, and No. 5 Springdale posted its sixth shutout of the season by defeating Riverview (2-4, 1-4) in Section 3-A play. Matt Taliani, Michael Mitchell and Liam Dale all scored one goal. Mike Zolnierczyk scored and made three saves for Springdale (6-0-1, 5-0-1).

Burrell 3, Valley 1 — Nick Kariotis scored one goal as Burrell won in Section 2-AA. Layne Seskey and Jake Guerrini added goals for Burrell (3-3-2, 3-3). Michael Odrey scored, and Gavin Shawfield made 11 saves for Valley (0-7, 0-6).

St. Joseph 3, Greensburg Salem 2 — Daniel Fábregas recorded a hat trick as St. Joseph defeated Greensburg Salem (5-3) in nonsection play. Eli Swierczewski recorded two assists, and Mason Hurlbut made four saves for St. Joseph (1-7).

Highlands 3, Armstrong 1 — Kolbe Palermo, Gabe Norris and Estanislao Ron scored for the Golden Rams as they beat Armstrong (0-8, 0-7) in Section 1-AAA play. Gabe Anthony stopped one shot for Highlands (4-5, 4-3).

Plum 6, Penn Hills 1 — Darius Flowers had two goals and two assists to lead Plum (4-4, 3-3) to a Section 3-4A win over Penn Hills (2-6, 1-5). Jordan Floyd scored twice for the Mustangs, and Andrew Koma and Cole Kelly had one goal each.

Fox Chapel 3, Central Catholic 0 — Alex Cooper led a trio of Fox Chapel goal scorers on their way to a Section 1-4A win over Central Catholic (3-4-1, 2-4-1). Nate Lazzara and Sam Zaltman scored one goal each for Fox Chapel (5-4, 4-3).

Girls soccer

Bentworth 7, McGuffey 0 — In Section 2-A, Paige Marshalek and Jocelyn Timlin each scored three times to guide No. 4 Bentworth (7-1, 5-0) to victory.

OLSH 3, South Side 0 — Francesca Taylor had two goals and Abby Aiello added a tally as OLSH (5-3, 4-2) won in Section 3-A.

Quigley Catholic 2, Sewickley Academy 0 — Ashley Meneard had two goals for Quigley Catholic (3-2, 2-2) in a Section 3-A win.

Burrell 3, Freeport 2 — Cara Fiore scored twice, including what proved to be the game-winner with 18 minutes remaining, to help Burrell (4-1-1, 3-1) top Freeport (4-3, 3-2) in a Section 2-AA game. Fiore also had an assist. Skylar Dale had a goal and an assist for the Bucs. Sidney Shemanski scored twice for the Yellowjackets.

Valley 4, McKeesport 1 — Heaven Butler tallied a hat trick, and Autumn Doran added a goal as the Vikings (2-4) defeated McKeesport (2-2) in a nonsection matchup. Cari Stonis and Emma Ruby Ward provided assists for Valley, while Alex Guy made five saves.

Slippery Rock 3, Knoch 2 — Lindsie Galbreath scored two goals, but Knoch fell to Slippery Rock in nonsection play. Heather Wittmer and Jewel Robertson recorded one assist each. Lauren Galbreath made two saves in the loss for Knoch (1-6).
