The WPIAL board will meet Monday with Connellsville and Penn Hills administrators in a hearing to investigate allegations of racial slurs at a soccer game.

Accusations against Connellsville fans and players are connected to a Sept. 6 boys soccer game between the two schools. The reports prompted Penn Hills to postpone contests against Connellsville until the issue was resolved.

The WPIAL requested high school principals, athletic directors and boys soccer coaches from both schools attend the hearing at the league office in Green Tree.

Trying to stay perfect

In girls soccer, Norwin will visit Penn-Trafford at 7:30 p.m. The winner will claim the Section 3-4A lead all alone. The two teams have identical 5-0 section records and 6-1 overall records.

First-place tiebreaker

Three girls soccer teams are tied for first place in Section 4-3A: Ambridge, Montour and West Allegheny are 4-1. That will change when West Allegheny visits Montour at 6 p.m.
