Sam Brown
Fox Chapel, Jr., RB/WR/SS
Brown stood tall for the Foxes last Friday in their 45-15 win over Connellsville with 154 rushing yards and four touchdowns. It was his second 100-yard performance of the season. Defensively, he made seven tackles, including two sacks, in the victory that was key for the 5A wild-card race.
Seth Fischbach
Burrell, Jr., WR/DB
The Bucs standout hopes to be a factor again this week in a crucial conference game with Freeport that comes with playoff implications. Fischbach caught a touchdown and picked off two passes last Friday to help Burrell rout Mt. Pleasant, 35-7.
Josh Jones
Springdale, Sr., QB/CB
The veteran signal caller tallied two rushing touchdowns last week against Northgate to help lift the Dynamos to their first victory of the season. Jones hopes to be on point again this week as Springdale hosts conference rival Riverview (1-5, 0-4) in a matchup of teams gunning for two wins in a row.
Vaun Ross
Valley, Jr., RB/WR/DB
The Vikings’ offensive threat was a complement to leading rusher Deonte Ross in last week’s Allegheny Conference victory over Apollo-Ridge. He recorded a pair of long runs and finished with five carries for 73 yards. He added several stops on defense for Valley, which hopes to improve its playoff chances this week against Summit Academy.
