Semifinals

Deer Lakes (20-3-1) vs. Fairview (22-0)

7 p.m. Tuesday at Franklin High School

Winner plays: Winner of Faith Christian (20-1-1)/Lewisburg (22-1) at 4 p.m. Friday in championship at Northeastern High School, Manchester

Players to watch: Jacob Orseno, Deer Lakes; Jackson Chiocco, Fairview

Corner kicks: These programs are somewhat familiar with one another. Deer Lakes defeated Fairview in the 2020 PIAA semifinals. The Lancers went on to lose in the championship game that season. … Deer Lakes scored a 2-1 victory over District 3 runner-up Tulpehocken on Saturday, as Jacob Orseno and Cuyler Crim scored. Collin Rodgers had two assists. The Lancers have outscored opponents 138-22 this season and have won 11 straight games. Deer Lakes is trying to reach the state final for the third time in program history (2018, ‘20). … Fairview, the District 10 champion, remained undefeated this season with a 4-0 victory over Beaver in the PIAA quarterfinals Saturday. Senior forward Jackson Chiocco, the 2024 District 10 boys soccer player of the year, had three goals, and Stefan Ninkovic added one. Quinten Wall secured the shutout. Fairview lost in the PIAA quarterfinals last season. The Tigers are searching for their first trip to the PIAA final.
