Winner plays: Winner of 2-Winchester Thurston (13-2-1)/7-Eden Christian (9-6-2) on Tuesday in semifinals

Corner kicks: Brady Hernandez’s overtime goal lifted OLSH to a first-round win over Freedom. The Chargers won the Section 3 title at 9-1. They outscored opponents 52-13 this season. OLSH started the season 7-0 before a 4-1 loss to North Catholic. The Chargers’ only other defeat was Oct. 10 when they were shut out by Aquinas Academy, 3-0. Senior Holland Cobourne and juniors Patrick Altmar, Owen Minzer, Luke Wrabley and Peter Zink were all-section selections. … Springdale edged Sewickley Academy, 2-1, after Colton Gent scored the winner in the 76th minute. Patrick Wylly also scored on a penalty kick for the Dynamos. Springdale, the Section 4 runner-up, has outscored opponents 72-17 this season. It posted five shutouts to start the season and has eight overall.
