Aliquippa’s Will Gipson and Solvauhn Moreland decided they’ll remain teammates in college.
The two football recruits announced commitments to Ball State about four hours apart on Saturday.
Both will be seniors in the fall.
Ball State, a Mid-American Conference team in Muncie, Ind., now has commitments from three WPIAL players. Imani Christian wide receiver Rahmon Hart Jr. committed to the Cardinals in May.
Gipson (6-3, 180), a wide receiver recruit, has also played quarterback and defensive back for the Quips. The three-star Rivals recruit chose Ball State over offers from Miami of Ohio, Toledo, Duquesne and Howard.
Moreland (6-4, 300) is a defensive tackle. The three-star recruit listed offers from Ball State, Duquesne and Howard.
