All-Kiski Valley high school roundup: Burrell hockey rolls again

Logan Schoepf scored four goals and added two assists as the Bucs hockey team defeated Connellsville, 9-5, in a Division II matchup at Valley Sports Complex.

Not to be outdone, Tyler Stewart — the top scorer in Division II — recorded three goals and three assists for Burrell (5-2), which overcame a 2-1 deficit by scoring six goals in the second period. Dylan Zelonka tallied a goal and two assists, and Derek Petrishen also scored.

Butler 11, Plum 0 — Nine players scored goals for the Golden Tornadoes (4-1) in the AAA victory over the Mustangs (1-5) at Ice Connection of Pittsburgh. Bekk McClaine and Bennett Thrash each scored twice to lead Butler, which outshot Plum, 28-19.
