A rain filled Tuesday and a forecast for more wet stuff later on throughout Western Pennsylvania has for a second straight day, forced WPIAL officials to pull the plug on a busy day of district baseball and softball postseason play.

The four Class AAAA and Class A opening rounds games that were postponed on Monday and rescheduled for Wednesday have been pushed back again. Those games, along with the 14 Class AAA and Class AA softball opening round playoff games that were cancelled on Tuesday, have been totally rescheduled with new sites and times and are now set to be played Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

The WPIAL is re-working the schedule for the 24 district First Round baseball playoff games. Once they are posted, we will have them here on MSA Sports.

Continue to stay tuned for more information and updates…and eventually, the actual games right here on your home for exclusive coverage of the WPIAL postseason, the MSA Sports Network.
