■ PENN-TRAFFORD 35, UPPER ST. CLAIR 14 Penn-Trafford sophomore Caleb Lisbon scored three touchdowns, the running and passing games worked in tandem and the Warriors’ defense held Upper St. Clair to two first downs well into the second half.
■ THOMAS JEFFERSON 27, BELLE VERNON 0 Justin Vigna ran for 199 yards and two touchdowns on a season-high 44 carries, and Thomas Jefferson will try to make it three consecutive WPIAL titles after defeating Belle Vernon.
■ PINE-RICHLAND 49, NORTH ALLEGHENY 25 Pine-Richland quarterback Phil Jurkovec has never played at Heinz Field, but he earned his way there Friday night with a 400-yard, five-touchdown passing performance that showcased his dual-threat talent.
■ JEANNETTE 30, ROCHESTER 26 Seth Howard rushed for one score and threw the winning touchdown pass to Isaiah Winters with 54 seconds left to rally No. 3 Jeannette to a heart-thumping 30-26 victory over No. 6 Rochester.
