Trinity clinched a berth in the Class 4A playoffs with a 42-14 victory against Greensburg Salem on Friday in a Big 9 Conference game at Offutt Field.
■ FREEPORT 28, KEYSTONE OAKS 7
A season after a four-game losing streak wiped away its playoff hopes, Freeport is heading back to the playoffs thanks to a 28-7 Allegheny Conference win over Keystone Oaks on Friday.
■ GATEWAY 21, McKEESPORT 18
Gateway junior Jeremiah Josephs intercepted a pass in the end zone with 6 seconds left to seal a 21-18 victory over rival McKeesport.
■ PENN-TRAFFORD 54, KISKI AREA 19
Penn-Trafford quarterback Cam Laffoon threw for three touchdowns, and John Gay IV scored three times.
■ LATROBE 28, PLUM 7
Plum’s Anthony Little found Seth Norcutt for a 4-yard touchdown pass to level the score at 7-7 with 1 minute, 36 seconds left in the half. The score remained tied heading into the second half.
