Bentworth promoted assistant John “J.J.” Knabb to head football coach, said athletic director Brian Malecki.

Knabb previously coached at South Park and Peters Township. He replaces Ron Skiles, who went 23-26 in five seasons with the Bearcats. The team went 5-5 overall last season, 4-3 in the Class A Tri-County South.
