Evan Vickless and Brittany Stewart landed top honors at the 62nd annual Brentwood High Athletic Boosters all-sports banquet held May 29 at Brentwood High School.

Vickless was the recipient of the Mark Reider Award, which is presented to the top male senior athlete at Brentwood.

“It's a huge honor to win this award, but I gotta give a big thanks to my teammates, parents, coaches and friends for helping me work harder and play better,” Vickless said.

Stewart received the Booster Athlete Award, which is given to Brentwood's top senior female athlete.

“I think it's a huge honor to win the award. Being recognized as the top female athlete this year gave me a memory that will last a lifetime and will always be remembered,” Stewart said.

“I'm very thankful to the boosters, my coaches, my teammates, and most importantly, my family for believing in me.

“I'm very proud of myself for all the hard work and dedication I put in throughout all these years. It was definitely worth it. I had a great experience along the road, and I'm gonna miss it a lot.”

Both were three-sport standouts in high school.

Vickless competed in football, basketball and track and field, and Stewart participated in volleyball, basketball and softball.

Two other Brentwood seniors, Michael Casey and Rachel Milcic, were presented with the male and female scholar-athlete awards at the banquet.

Both were lauded as the most outstanding team member on their respective cross country squads.

Casey also was named most outstanding team member in boys swimming.

He was one of several athletes honored in two sports, along with seniors Easton Klein (baseball, golf), Austin Veatch (baseball, football) and Morgan Dryburgh (basketball, volleyball), and sophomore Akir Deng (swimming, track and field).

The five other most outstanding team members were seniors DeAngelo Brisco (basketball), Julia Walter (cheerleading) and Ryan Kelly (soccer) and junior Abby Wolf (softball).
