Franklin Regional will vote this week to hire Brian Johnson as head football coach, according to the agenda for Wednesday night’s board meeting.

Johnson, 43, was the offensive line coach on Lance Getsy’s staff for the past three seasons. Getsy resigned in November after five seasons as head coach.

The position will pay $12,781.

Johnson already works in the school district as the director of facilities.

He has been the Panthers’ strength and conditioning coach for the last two seasons. He also worked as an assistant at his alma mater, Woodland Hills, from 2018-22, and at Mt. Lebanon (2022-23).

Johnson also was an assistant baseball coach at Woodland Hills from 2019-22.
