Youngstown State added another WPIAL recruit Wednesday when California senior Jelani Stafford committed to the FCS school.
The 6-foot-2, 280-pound defensive tackle and running back announced his decision on Twitter. He joins Norwin teammates Gianni Rizzo and Jayvon Thrift as YSU commits for 2019.
Nimble for his size, Stafford rushed for 1,077 yards and 13 touchdowns this season. As a junior, he totalled 1,629 rushing yards and scored 29 times.
Stafford earned first-team all-conference honors both years in the Class A Tri-County South.
