A.J. Beatty’s scholarship total has climbed for weeks, but the Central Catholic junior will start narrowing his options soon.

The 6-foot-5, 255-pound defensive end revealed this week that he’ll announce a list of “top schools” on June 1.

In the meantime, Beatty continues to add Division I schools. He collected his 40th offer Monday from Central Florida, which went 12-1 last season and finished 11th in the Associated Press poll.

Beatty’s list contains a number of Power 5 schools, including Pitt, West Virginia, South Carolina, Syracuse and others.

Rivals.com rates Beatty as a three-star recruit and ranks him seventh overall among Pennsylvania prospects in the 2020 class.
