Deer Lakes rolls past Greensburg Salem in season finale

Deer Lakes' comeback hockey season ended the same way it began: with a dominant victory.

Ryan Murdock scored a hat trick and added two assists as Deer Lakes cruised to a 9-3 victory over Greensburg Salem in its Class A season finale Monday night at Ice Connection.

Five different players scored for the Lancers (9-10-0-1), who completed their first varsity season since 2014-15. Cameron Miller scored twice and added an assist, and Pietro Porco added a pair of goals. Dylan George and Dominick Detman also found the back of the net, and Shane Miller had six assists.

Cole Mcnair tallied a goal and two assists for Greensburg Salem (3-17).
