FINAL 2014 WPIAL Football Playoff Picture

The 64 playoff football teams and their positions out of their respective conferences are now set. Only one Class A question remains as we head into the final day of the 2014 campaign. Now it is up to the WPIAL football steering committee to seed the 16 teams in each classification. Here are ALL of the final WPIAL playoff teams and their position through the final Friday of the regular season.
CLASS AAAA Foothills Conference:
Penn-Trafford Warriors (8-0) have clinched CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP
McKeesport Tigers (7-1) have clinched Second Place
Altoona Mountain Lions (6-2) have clinched Third Place
Plum Mustangs (5-3) have clinched Fourth Place
Norwin Knights (4-4) have clinched Fifth Place
CLASS AAAA Southeastern Conference:
Penn Hills Indians (6-1) have clinched CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP
(Penn Hills wins head-to-head tiebreaker with Woodland Hills)
Woodland Hills Wolverines (6-1) have clinched Second Place
Bethel Park Black Hawks (5-2) have clinched Third Place
Upper St. Clair Panthers (4-3) have clinched Fourth Place
(Upper St. Clair wins head-to-head tiebreaker with Mount Lebanon)
Mount Lebanon Blue Devils (4-3) have clinched Fifth Place
CLASS AAAA Northern Eight Conference:
Pinie-Richland Rams (7-0) have clinched CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP
Pittsburgh Central Catholic Vikings (6-1) have clinched Second Place
North Allegheny Tigers (5-2) have clinched Third Place
North Hills Indians (4-3) have clinched Fourth Place
Fox Chapel Foxes (3-4) have clinched Fifth Place
CLASS AAAA Wild Card:
Connellsville Falcons with a 3-5 conference record beat out Baldwin Highlanders (2-6) and Seneca Valley Raiders (2-6) in the battle of sixth place teams for Class AAAA wild card based on conference record.
CLASS AAAA Third Place Home Field:
North Allegheny Tigers and Altoona Mountain Lions earn the two home field games among third place finishers based on 6-2 conference record.
Bethel Park Black Hawks (5-3) will be on the road. Their record includes a cross-over loss to Central Catholic that turns out to be the difference.
CLASS AAA Big Nine Conference:
Thomas Jefferson Jaguars (8-0) have clinched CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP
Ringgold Rams (7-1) have clinched Second Place
West Mifflin Titans (5-3) have clinched Third Place
(West Mifflin wins head-to-head tiebreaker with Belle Vernon)
Belle Vernon Leopards (5-3) have clinched Fourth Place
Laurel Highlands Mustangs (4-4) have clinched Fifth Place
CLASS AAA Parkway Conference:
Central Valley Warriors (8-0) have clinched CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP
West Allegheny Indians (7-1) have clinched Second Place
Montour Spartans (6-2) have clinched Third Place
New Castle Red Hurricane (4-4) have clinched Fourth Place
(New Castle wins head-to-head tiebreaker with Moon)
Moon Tigers (4-4) have clinched Fifth Place
CLASS AAA Greater Allegheny Conference:
Hampton Talbots (7-1) have clinched CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP
Franklin Regional Panthers (6-2) have clinched Second Place
Indiana Little Indians (5-3) have clinched Third Place
(Indiana wins head-to-head tiebreaker with Mars)
Mars Fighting Planets (5-3) have clinched Fourth Place
Gateway Gators (4-4) have clinched Fifth Place
(Gateway wins head-to-head tiebreaker with Knoch)
CLASS AAA Wild Card:
Knoch Knights (4-4) earns the wild card, beating out both the two other sixth place teams Ambridge Bridgers (3-5) and Elizabeth Forward Warriors (3-5)
CLASS AAA Third Place Home Field:
Montour Spartans (6-2) earn a home game with the best conference record among third place teams. Indiana Little Indians and West Mifflin Titans each finished 5-3 in their conference but Indiana ends up with more gardner points than West Mifflin to claim the other home game in Round One.
CLASS AA Century Conference:
South Fayette Lions (9-0) have clinched CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP
Seton-LaSalle Rebels (8-1) have clinched Second Place
South Park Eagles (7-2) have clinched Third Place
Steel Valley Ironmen (6-3) have clinched Fourth Place
CLASS AA Allegheny Conference:
Highlands Golden Rams (9-0) have clinched CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP
Apollo-Ridge Vikings (8-1) have clinched Second Place
Shady Side Academy Indians (6-3) have clinched third place
(Shady Side Academy wins head-to-head tiebreaker with Kittanning)
Kittanning Wildcats (6-3) have clinched fourth place
CLASS AA Interstate Conference:
Washington Little Prexies (8-0) have clinched CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP
Mount Pleasant Vikings (7-1) have clinched Second Place
McGuffey Highlanders (6-2) have clinched Third Place
Waynesburg Raiders (5-3) have clinched Fourth Place
CLASS AA Midwestern Conference:
Aliquippa Quips (8-0) have clinched CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP
Beaver Bobcats (6-2) have clinched Second Place
(Beaver, Beaver Falls and New Brighton all split head-to-head. Tiebreaker points are Beaver +50, Beaver Falls +50 and New Brighton +47. Beaver wins head-to-head tiebreaker with Beaver Falls to claim second place)
Beaver Falls Tigers (6-2) have clinched Third Place
(Beaver Falls wins head-to-head tiebreaker with New Brighton)
New Brighton Lions (6-2) have clinched Fourth Place
CLASS A Big 7 Conference:
Neshannock Lancers (7-0) have clinched CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP
Shenango Wildcats (6-1) have clinched Second Place
South Side Rams (4-2) have clinched Third Place
(If South Side loses to Western Beaver on Saturday, they still finish 3rd based on head-to-head tiebreaker with Riverside)
Riverside Panthers (4-3) have clinched Fourth Place
CLASS A Eastern Conference:
Clairton Bears (8-0) have clinched CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP
Jeannette Jayhawks (7-1) have clinched Second Place
Springdale Dynamos (4-3) CAN clinch Third Place with a win Saturday at Riverview
Greensburg Central Catholic Centurions (5-3) CAN clinch Third Place with a Springdale loss Saturday at Riverview
CLASS A Black Hills Conference:
Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic Trojans (7-0) have clinched CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP
Avonworth Antelopes (6-1) have clinched Second Place
Brentwood Spartans (5-2) have clinched Third Place
Chartiers-Houston Buccaneers (4-3) have clinched Fourth Place

Beth-Center Bulldogs (8-0) have clinched CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP
Frazier Commodores (7-1) have clinched Second Place
Mapletown Maples (6-2) have clinched Third Place
