The wealth and the gold were spread out when it came to the 2025 PIAA girls basketball championships.

Six different districts had one team each win a state basketball title this winter.

While Districts 2, 3, 8 (City League), 9, 10 and 11 were left out of the celebrations, district 1, 4, 5, 6, 7 (WPIAL) and 12 were in the victory circle in Chocolate Town.

The only repeat performance was from Bishop Guilfoyle in Class A as the Marauders captured their second straight and ninth state championship overall.

Neumann-Goretti won its sixth PIAA championship in 4A, all in the last 10 seasons.

After the boys team lost in the PIAA finals the last two years, the Berlin-Brothersvalley girls team won in 2A for its second golden trophy, with the first coming six years ago.

South Fayette won its first state crown, denying Archbishop Wood in 5A a record fifth consecutive state championship.

The other two winners were also first-time PIAA champions with Perkiomen Valley in 6A and Loyalsock Township in 3A combining to win 58 games this season.

All six top-ranked teams from last week ended up hoisting gold this weekend in Hershey.
