Three finalists were announced Wednesday for the sixth Moe Rosensteel Most Outstanding Player award, which highlights the WPIAL’s top girls soccer player.

A 31-player watch list released in August was narrowed to three:

• Natalia DiSora of Upper St. Clair

• Morgan Gesinski of Mt. Pleasant

• Emily McKee of Fox Chapel

Gesinski and McKee also were finalists last year.

DiSora, a senior and Wake Forest commit, helped USC reach the WPIAL Class 4A quarterfinals. She is an All-WPIAL player who played defender and midfield for the Panthers.

Gesinski guided Mt. Pleasant to the WPIAL Class 2A semifinals and will try to help the Vikings to a win in Thursday’s third-place game for a PIAA playoff berth.

The Robert Morris commit has 29 goals this season and more than 100 for her career.

McKee, a junior who has committed to Pitt, has led the Foxes back to the WPIAL Class 3A championship. The Foxes will play South Fayette in a finals rematch at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Highmark Stadium.

McKee has 46 goals this season, including 12 in three playoff games, and 101 for her career.

The Moe award winner will be announced after the PIAA finals.

Past winners are Ellie Coffield of Mars (2019), Sarah Schupansky of North Allegheny (2020), Kelsey Salopek of Steel Valley (2021), Hailey Longwell of Moon (2022), Lola Abraham of Riverview (2023) and Molly Kubistek of Peters Township (2024).
