Add another piece of hardware to Emily McKee’s personal trophy case, if it will fit.
McKee, Fox Chapel’s championship-winning soccer midfielder, was the recipient of the sixth Moe Rosensteel Most Outstanding Player of the Year Award, which goes to the WPIAL’s best girls soccer player.

McKee, a Pitt commit who also was named the TribLive HSSN Girls Soccer Player of the Year this week in addition to All-WPIAL and all-state recognition, received a special visitor Tuesday night.
Moe award founder Ed Rosensteel, the father of the late standout for whom the prize is named, presented McKee with the award before she played a basketball game at Fox Chapel.
(McKee had 12 points in a 46-43 loss to North Hills.)
McKee was a unanimous choice for the “Moe” among a panel of organizers, coaches and media members. The other finalists were seniors Morgan Gesinski of Mt. Pleasant and Natalia DiSora of Upper St. Clair.
McKee was one of the most prolific scorers in the WPIAL this season as she led Fox Chapel to its second WPIAL title in three years, one in 4A, the other in 3A. She scored 49 goals and nine assists and raised her career goal total to 106.
Fox Chapel (20-2-1) edged South Fayette, 1-0, in overtime to win this year’s title after finishing as the runner-up to the Lions in 2024. McKee assisted the winning goal by Lily McLaughlin.
McKee had seven hat tricks and racked up a seven-goal game in the playoffs. She had 14 goals in seven postseason games.
McKee, Gesinski and DiSora were finalists last year.
Gesinski, a forward, is a Robert Morris commit, whereas DiSora, a defender, is headed to Wake Forest.
Interestingly, McKee is the fourth Pitt recruit to win the Rosensteel Award. Others are Ellie Coffield of Mars (2019), Sarah Schupansky of North Allegheny (2020) and Lola Abraham of Riverview (2023).
Past finalists Eva Frankovich of Norwin and Lucia Wells of North Allegheny also played at Pitt.
Other previous Moe award winners are Kelsey Salopek of Steel Valley (2021), Hailey Longwell of Moon (2022) and Molly Kubistek of Peters Township (2024).
