The Franklin Regional cheer team returned to the PIAA Competitive Spirit Championships for the first time in five years.

The Panthers did not receive a single deduction and advanced to the semifinals, where they again “hit zero” miscues and narrowly missed the finals at Santander Arena in Reading.

Franklin Regional, which overcame a coaching late-season coaching change, finished as the No. 15-ranked team in the state.

Cheer squad members are: Back row, from left: Whitney Davis, Kenna Dupill, Lucy Monsour, Erin Lunden, Sophia Regelski, and Sydney Nguyen; Middle row, from left: Arden Tomley, Sydney Gimbel, Audrie Eggan, Allison Brickner, and Loralei Yankee; Front row, from left: Kate Purdue, Bree Anderchak, Brianna Henney, and Myla Brinker.
