Franklin Regional football player Macallister Bresnahan is officially a Division I college football prospect.

The 6-foot-5, 220-pound senior tight end has an opportunity to play locally at Robert Morris.

He said he has been in contact with the Colonials for some time. The offer was a nice gift for the holidays.

“I was expecting (the offer) a little because me and coach (Delbert) Tyler had been talking for a few months and had built a really good connection,” Bresnahan said. “It was still an amazing experience.”

Bresnahan was an all-conference performer in his final prep season, catching 25 passes for 415 yards and five touchdowns for the Panthers (8-4).

He had 26 tackles on six sacks as a linebacker.

Bresnahan also is a talented track and field athlete competing in the long and triple jumps.
