Girls soccer stars grace Moe Rosensteel award watch list

The watch list is out for the 2025 Moe Rosensteel Most Outstanding Player award in WPIAL girls soccer.

Finalists — traditionally three, but four last year — will be named during the WPIAL playoffs, and the winner will be announced after the PIAA championships.

Molly Kubistek of Peters Township, a Cincinnati commit who is back this season, was last year’s winner. She was the first goalkeeper to win the award.

Kubistek will try to become the first two-time winner.

Other winners include Ellie Coffield of Mars (2019), Sarah Schupansky of North Allegheny (2020), Kelsey Salopek of Steel Valley (2021), Hailey Longwell of Moon (2022) and Lola Abraham of Riverview (2023).

Two other girls on the watch list also were finalists last year: Morgan Gesinski of Mt. Pleasant and Emily McKee of Fox Chapel.
