Frannie Crouse scored two goals in 69 seconds in the second half as the Greensburg Central Catholic Centurions repeat as Girls Class A WPIAL champions with a 2-0 victory over the Sewickley Academy Panthers, handing the Panthers their first loss of the season at Baldwin High School.

Crouse scored in the 51st minute off a controversial free kick, she added her 45th goal of the season on a turning shot from the right win, the junior and Penn State recruit now has 105 goals for her career.

Greensburg Central Catholic had the better of the chances in a scoreless first half, outshooting Sewickley Academy 7-3. Frannie Crouse had a great opportunity just 90 seconds into the game with a shot from the left wing that keeper Maggie Dewitt had to drive to make a save on the shot headed for the far post.

Malea Fabean had another great chance for GCC from in the dead center of the field and 30 yards out in the 32nd minute, Fabean had another free kick opportunity which led to a corner for the Centurions.
Sewickley Academy got their best chance late in the first half on a free kick for Amy Kolor, but her chance from 25 yards out from the left wing sailed well over the crossbar.

The second half started the same way as the first, Frannie Crouse moved down the left wing in the opening 30 seconds and just missed on a turning shot, stopped by Dewitt. Greensburg Central Catholic got another great chance with two corner kicks in a 30 second span, the second led to a loose ball in the goalie box, but Italia Biondi could not get a foot on it and tuck it inside the post.

The only negative for GCC was a yellow card picked up by Fabean in the 63rd minute.

Sewickley Academy had a goal disallowed a minute after the second Crouse goal, Binda made a save on a bouncing shot, but she was contacted by a Panther attacker, causing the ball to come loose and enter the goal.
