Westmoreland County has become a hot spot for high-end girls soccer recruiting and two more rising standouts are making sure the trend continues.

Greensburg Central Catholic freshman Tatum Gretz and Norwin sophomore Anna Durmis announced commitments to Division I college programs.

Gretz, the next in a long line of explosive goal-scorers at GCC, gave a verbal pledge to Villanova.

Durmis, another talented midfielder, said she is headed to William & Mary.

Gretz scored 30 goals in her first varsity season and was an All-WPIAL selection. GCC reached the WPIAL Class A semifinals.

Durmis helped Norwin win a section title with a perfect record (12-0) and a spot in the WPIAL Class 4A semis. She was a Big 5/6 Conference honorable mention pick.

Both girls play for the Pittsburgh Riverhounds Academy, on the same 2003 Elite Club National League team.
