Hempfield junior Mekayla Dedo sometimes skies to make a block or deliver a kill.
The 5-foot-10 outside hitter could be soaring to new heights in the near future, and her volleyball talents could help her get there.
Dedo announced Tuesday she will play at the Air Force Academy.
An all-section player and former Western Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association Player of the Week, Dedo was known to opposing teams to be a force at the net.
I’m so excited to announce that I have verbally committed to play D1 volleyball at the United States Air Force Academy. I can’t wait to play volleyball there and serve my country. Thank you to everyone that has helped me along the way. #letsfly #falcons ??? pic.twitter.com/i5EVf16vPs
