Aliquippa earned a thrilling walk-off victory over Penn Hills on Friday night.
Marques Council Jr.’s heave as time expired fell into the hands of Ray Miller for a 28-yard score to give the Class 4A No. 1 Quips a 21-16 victory over Class 5A Penn Hills (1-4) in a nonconference matchup Friday night at Heinz Field.
Council threw for 309 yards and three fourth-quarter touchdowns for Aliquippa (3-1). QaLil Goode caught seven passes for 112 yards and two touchdowns while teammate Josh Lay had eight receptions for 150 yards.
Avondre Harris threw for 102 yards and a touchdown for Penn Hills, which led 10-0 entering the final quarter.

Central Catholic 59, Hempfield 7 — Roman Thompson ran for four touchdowns to lead top-ranked Central Catholic (4-1, 2-0) to the Class 6A win over No. 4 Hempfield (3-2, 0-2). Jack Kopas scored on a 21-yard pass from Dominic Detruf for the Spartans.
Class 5A
Armstrong 17, Latrobe 14 — Daniel Pearson’s 23-yard field goal in the fourth quarter gave Armstrong (2-3, 1-0) the Big East Conference win against Latrobe (2-3, 1-1). Jaydon Oliver threw for 188 yards and a touchdown to Theron Cupec, who caught eight passes for 108 yards. Dom Scarton and Cash Achhammer scored for the Wildcats.
Pine-Richland 56, Plum 14 — In the Northeast Conference, Aaton Strader threw for 194 yards and three touchdowns to lead top-ranked Pine-Richland (4-1, 2-0) to victory over Plum (2-3, 0-2). Maclane Miller ran for 101 yards and two touchdowns for Pine-Richland while Khalil Taylor caught two scoring passes and returned a punt 82 yards for another. Nico Signor caught a 48-yard TD pass, and Elijah Jackson scored on an 8-yard run for the Mustangs.
Class 3A
Imani Christian 27, Highlands 7 — Gabe Jenkins threw for 230 yards and four touchdowns to lead No. 2 Imani Christian (5-0, 2-0) to the Allegheny 7 Conference win at Highlands (2-3, 1-1). David Davis caught two passes — both for touchdowns — for 118 yards. Tevin Owen-Cratsenberg scored on an 11-yard run for Highlands.
Central Valley 51, Beaver 19 — Braddock Ambrose threw for 196 yards and three touchdowns to lead Central Valley (2-3, 2-0) to the Western Hills Conference win at Beaver (2-3, 1-1). Central Valley scored 31 points in the second quarter. Travis Clear threw for 132 yards and two touchdowns for Beaver.
North Catholic 63, McGuffey 0 — Joey Felitsky threw for 201 yards and four touchdowns as No. 3 North Catholic (5-0, 2-0) downed McGuffey (0-5, 0-2) in Western Hills Conference play. Ryker Kennedy caught four passes for 156 yards and a touchdown for North Catholic, which led 56-0 at the half.
Class 2A
Apollo-Ridge 22, Shady Side Academy 14 — Jaden McCray ran for three touchdowns as Apollo-Ridge (3-2, 1-0) defeated Shady Side Academy (3-1, 1-1) in Allegheny Conference play. Londell Robinson rushed for both Shady Side Academy touchdowns.
OLSH 40, Ligonier Valley 6 — Fabian Nixon threw four touchdown passes to lead OLSH (2-3, 1-1) to the Allegheny Conference win at Ligonier Valley (0-5, 0-2). Christian Bush scored on a 50-yard blocked punt return and a 54-yard run for OLSH. Greyson Daugherty scored on a 65-yard pass from Levi Foust for the Rams.
Keystone Oaks 42, Charleroi 7 — Brady McDine ran for 170 yards and two touchdowns to lead Keystone Oaks (2-3, 1-1) to the Century Conference win at Charleroi (0-5, 0-2).
Seton LaSalle 49, Carlynton 0 — Class 2A No. 2 Seton LaSalle (4-1, 2-0) shut out Carlynton (1-4, 0-1) in Century Conference play.
Washington 49, Sto-Rox 6 — Tristan Reed threw for 111 yards and ran for two touchdowns as No. 5 Washington (4-1, 2-0) defeated Sto-Rox (0-5, 0-2) in a Century Conference game. Cayden Cook added two rushing touchdowns for Washington. Sto-Rox was limited to 66 yards of offense and four first downs.
Beaver Falls 8, Mohawk 6 — Xavier Clark threw for 79 yards and ran for 55 yards and one touchdown as Beaver Falls (1-4, 1-1) won a defensive contest over Mohawk (1-4, 0-2) in the Midwestern Athletic Conference.
Ellwood City 28, Freedom 14 — Tyler Smiley threw for 203 yards and three touchdowns to lead Ellwood City (3-2, 2-0) to the Midwestern Athletic Conference win against Freedom (3-2, 1-1). Dom Hogue caught eight passes for 169 yards and two touchdowns for Freedom while teammate Richard Cureton rushed for 126 yards and one TD. Karter Brown threw for 119 yards and both Ellwood City touchdowns.
Riverside 40, New Brighton 6 — Mason Holler ran for 110 yards and four touchdowns to lead Riverside (3-2, 2-0) past New Brighton (3-2, 0-2) in Midwestern Athletic Conference play. Aidan Gaydosz threw for 166 yards and a touchdown for Riverside.
Western Beaver 46, Union 14 — In the Midwestern Athletic Conference, Amari Marshall threw for 105 yards and one touchdown and ran for 160 yards and another TD as No. 3 Western Beaver (5-0, 2-0) beat Union (0-4, 0-2). Wyatt Sparbanie rushed for 107 yards and four touchdowns for Western Beaver.
Class A
Laurel 40, Rochester 0 — In the Big 7 Conference, Luca Santini threw for two touchdowns and ran for another as No. 4 Laurel (4-1, 2-0) shut out Rochester (0-4, 0-1). Nathan Hill added two rushing touchdowns.
Neshannock 62, Northgate 27 — Nico Medure threw for 207 yards and four touchdowns as Neshannock (3-1, 1-0) beat Northgate (0-5, 0-2) in the Big 7 Conference. Anthony Eakin added 155 rushing yards and three touchdowns for Neshannock. Devontae Smith threw for 129 yards and a touchdown for Northgate.
South Side 35, Shenango 7 — In the Big 7 Conference, Amare Morman ran for 110 yards and Will Morgan rushed for three touchdowns as South Side (4-1, 2-0) beat Shenango (2-3, 1-1). The score was tied at seven at halftime.
Bishop Canevin 44, Cornell 7 — Myontae Mott ran for 177 yards and three touchdowns as Bishop Canevin (3-2, 1-0) downed Cornell (3-2, 1-1) in Black Hills Conference play.
Clairton 72, Frazier 0 — Class A No. 2 Clairton (3-1, 2-0) downed Frazier (2-3, 0-2) in Eastern Conference play. Clairton has outscored its opponents 206-19 this season.
Greensburg Central Catholic 34, Brentwood 6 — Samir Crosby rushed for three touchdowns as Greensburg Central Catholic (3-2, 1-1) defeated Brentwood (2-3, 1-1) in Eastern Conference play. Cedric Davis, Jr. threw for 169 yards and Brentwood’s touchdown.
Bentworth 42, Beth-Center 7 — Bentworth (3-2, 1-1) defeated Beth-Center (1-4, 1-1) in a Tri-County South matchup.
California 42, Avella 0 — In the Tri-County South, Logan Hartley threw for 113 yards and one touchdown as California (4-1, 2-0) shut out Avella (4-1, 1-1). Chase Shemansky added two rushing touchdowns.
Jefferson-Morgan 33, Carmichaels 0 — In Tri-County South play, Jefferson Morgan (5-0, 2-0) shut out Carmichaels (1-3, 0-2).
West Greene 40, Mapletown 0 — Joel Rizor rushed for four touchdowns to lead West Greene (1-4, 1-1) to the Tri-County South win against Mapletown (1-4, 0-2).

Ambridge 42, Greensburg Salem 32 — D.J. Cain threw for 202 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 118 yards and two TDs to lead Class 4A Ambridge (1-4) to the win over Class 3A Greensburg Salem (2-3). Brody Chismar tossed for 259 yards and three touchdowns for Greensburg Salem.
Bethel Park 51, Trinity 35 — David Dennison ran for 317 yards and six touchdowns to lead Class 5A No. 5 Bethel Park (4-1) to the win at Class 4A Trinity (1-4). Jonah Williamson threw for 178 yards and three touchdowns and ran for two TDs for Trinity.
Blackhawk 49, Yough 6 — Brayden McCarthy rushed for 111 yards and one touchdown and Ryan Prisuta ran for 102 yards and three TDs as Class 4A Blackhawk (2-3) defeated Class 3A Yough (2-3). Blackhawk led at halftime, 42-0. Aidan Shaffer scored on a short run for Yough.
Chartiers Valley 22, Hampton 13 — In nonconference play, Luke Miranda threw for 137 yards and a touchdown as Chartiers Valley (4-1) defeated Hampton (2-3).
Conotton Valley 46, Brownsville 7 — In nonconference play, Kaden Leggette threw three touchdown passes to Kaden Wright as Conotton Valley (Ohio) (3-2) beat Brownsville (0-4). Jaiden Praster threw for 121 yards for Brownsville.
Elizabeth Forward 57, Baldwin 0 — Ryan Messina threw for 121 yards and two touchdowns and Rocco Thompson ran for two TDs as Class 3A No. 5 Elizabeth Forward (4-1) downed Baldwin (0-5) in nonconference play.
Indiana 41, Derry 34 — Roman Jones ran for 131 yards and three touchdowns as Class 4A Indiana (2-3) defeated Class 3A Derry (3-2). Max Doherty rushed for 222 yards and four touchdowns for Derry, which led by seven entering the fourth quarter.
Morgantown (W.Va.) 48, Connellsville 21 — Isaiah Thompson rushed for four touchdowns as Morgantown (W.Va.) (4-0) defeated Connellsville (1-4) in nonconference play. Caden Matthews threw for two touchdowns and ran for one more for Connellsville.
New Castle 45, Knoch 0 — Marino Graham tossed for three touchdowns and ran for another as New Castle (4-1) defeated Knoch (0-5) in nonconference play.
Peters Township 28, West Allegheny 0 — Nolan DiLucia threw for 202 yards and two touchdowns as Class 5A No. 2 Peters Township (5-0) shut out Class 4A West Allegheny (1-3). Cole Neupaver added 166 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Donovan O’Connor threw for 139 yards in the loss.
Quaker Valley 29, Valley 20 — Atticus Barr threw three touchdown passes, including two to Logan Benedict, as Quaker Valley (3-2) beat Valley (0-5) in nonconference play. Brendon Knuckles scored on an 80-yard kickoff to start the game, and Juzef Betts and Skylar Lincoln added TD runs for Valley.
Seneca Valley 31, Moon 23 — Class 5A Seneca Valley (2-3) defeated Class 5A Moon (3-2) in a nonconference clash.
Serra Catholic 39, Summit Academy 6 — Brady Vrcic and Marcus Holt scored two touchdowns each as Serra Catholic (1-4) beat Summit Academy (0-5) in nonconference play.
South Fayette 28, Belle Vernon 7 — Aayden Wright ran for one touchdown and returned an interception 78 yards for another as Class 5A South Fayette (4-1) defeated Class 4A Belle Vernon (1-3). Drew Welhorsky threw for 150 yards for South Fayette. Chace Petrosky rushed for 108 yards and Curtis Wade scored on a 1-yard run for Belle Vernon.
Steel Valley 34, Waynesburg 0 — Class 2A No. 4 Steel Valley (3-2) shut out Waynesburg (2-3) in nonconference play.
Thomas Jefferson 35, West Mifflin 14 — Tyler Eber rushed for four touchdowns to lead Class 4A No. 2 Thomas Jefferson (4-1) to the nonconference win against West Mifflin (1-4). Armand Hill ran for both West Mifflin touchdowns.
Upper St. Clair 17, McKeesport 14 — Ethan Hellmann threw for 152 yards and one touchdown and ran for another TD as Class 5A No. 3 Upper St. Clair (5-0) slipped past Class 4A No. 3 McKeesport (2-3). Matt Miller threw for 138 yards and ran for two McKeesport touchdowns.
Woodland Hills 41, Shaler 7 — Taylor Reid rushed for 229 yards and four touchdowns as Class 5A No. 4 Woodland Hills (3-2) beat Shaler (1-4) in nonconference play. Woodland Hills’ Scoop Smith caught eight passes for 102 yards and scored on a 54-yard punt return while teammate Cam Walter threw for 151 yards.
City League
University Prep 54, Perry 0 — In City League play, University Prep (2-2, 2-0) shut out Perry (0-5, 0-3).
Buckeye Local, Ohio 36, Carrick 30 — Buckeye Loyal (Ohio) (2-3) defeated Carrick in nonconference play.
Westinghouse 40, Butler 14 — In nonconference play. Omar Pack threw two touchdown passes and ran for 116 yards and one TD as Westinghouse (5-0) defeated Butler (3-2). Nicolas Baggetta tossed for 123 yards and a touchdown for Butler.
