Winning pitcher Jack Stynchula delivered a two-run single in the top of the ninth to lift Latrobe to a 4-2 victory over Franklin Regional in Section 1-5A baseball Monday.

Eli Boring hit a game-tying RBI single in the sixth inning for the Wildcats (8-3, 5-2). Chase Lemke and Ethan Raver each had two hits for the Panthers (7-2, 4-1).

Albert Gallatin 4, Laurel Highlands 3 – Albert Gallatin (3-5, 3-4) scored on a sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth and held on to beat Laurel Highlands (1-6, 0-5) in Section 2-4A. Michael Dunham and Kanyon Sutton each doubled and Gino Valenti got the win for the Colonials. Aiden Milsom and Braylon Schoch each doubled and drove in a run for the Mustangs.

Allderdice 5, New Castle 1 – Zack Shook allowed three hits while striking out nine in seven innings in a Section 3-5A win for Allderdice (6-4, 3-4). Brendan Stecik had two hits and two RBIs while Lukas Stead had three hits for the Dragons. Phillip Laurenza doubled for New Castle (2-9, 1-4).

Ambridge 7, Central Valley 4 – Jonathan Janicki went 2 for 3 with a pair of RBIs, Evan Francis doubled and drove in a run and winning pitcher Cody Hetrick gave up four hits and struck out four in 4⅓ scoreless innings as Ambridge (6-4, 4-3) beat Central Valley (5-5, 2-2) in Section 1-4A. Jackson Christopher and Will Ciucci had an RBI apiece for the Warriors.

Armstrong 8, Kiski Area 2 – Hunter Reed homered, doubled and knocked in four runs and Brayden Wright had three RBIs as Carson DeLano earned the win for Armstrong (5-6, 4-3) in Section 1-5A play. Dimitri Spagnola tripled and knocked in a run for Kiski Area (1-8, 0-5).

Avella 5, Jeannette 4 – Charles Rush delivered an RBI single in the top half of the seventh and Bryce Wright got the win as Avella (9-1, 5-1) squeaked by Jeannette (2-6, 0-3) in Section 1-A. Cameron Ullom doubled and drove in a run for the Eagles. Jayden Kennedy went 3 for 4 with a double and three RBIs for the Jayhawks.

Baldwin 4, Gateway 0 – Aiden Robinson went 2 for 4 with a double and Nick Burg drove in two runs to lead Baldwin (4-4, 3-2) to a Section 4-5A win. Jon Saunders hit a double for Gateway (6-5, 2-3).

Beaver 5, Blackhawk 1 – David Corob had two hits and an RBI and Derek Hughes drove in a pair in a Section 1-4A win for Beaver (8-3, 5-2). Carter Davis and Ty Butler each had an RBI. Samuel Saliba had two hits for Blackhawk (5-2-1, 3-1-1).

Brentwood 9, Carlynton 5 – Michael O’Leary went 4 for 4 with a triple and three RBIs, winning pitcher Aidan Barker doubled and Blaize Diaz went 3 for 4 as Brentwood (2-6, 2-4) beat Carlynton (2-8, 0-5) in Section 3-2A. Eric Firle knocked in two runs for the Cougars.

Burgettstown 11, Beth-Center 1 – Jayden Roach homered and drove in two runs, winning pitcher Matt Bredel tripled, doubled and brought home two and William Stevenson and Brian Charles each plated a run as Burgettstown (4-1, 3-1) defeated Beth-Center (2-5, 1-5) in Section 1-2A.

California 7, Bentworth 2 – Logan Hartley singled, doubled and drove in a run while Ricky Lawson had two doubles and two RBIs in a Section 1-2A win for California (4-4-1, 4-0). Lucas Burt had two hits for Bentworth (2-6, 2-5).

Chartiers-Houston 4, Frazier 1 – Cale Bitz (2 for 2) and Aaron Walsh (2 for 3) combined to drive in three runs in a Section 1-2A win for Chartiers-Houston (5-3, 3-3). Chase Fulmer had two hits for Frazier (4-5, 1-4).

Connellsville 11, McKeesport 0 – Grayden Gillott doubled and had three RBIs, Gradin Hodge also drove in three and Jayden Mickens doubled and plated a pair to lead Connellsville (7-2, 3-1) to a Section 4-5A win. Deer Lakes 12, Freeport 7 – Lucas Derose knocked in four runs, A.J. Reiher plated three and Andrew Connelly got the win as Deer Lakes (5-3, 5-1) beat Freeport (4-5, 2-3) in Section 3-3A. Kason Barker homered and drove in three for the Yellowjackets. Ben Shurina and Anthony Smith each had an RBI for the Lancers.

Derry 1, Highlands 0 – Max Doherty threw 6 ⅔ scoreless innings, allowing five hits and striking out eight, to lead Derry (4-4, 2-1) to a Section 3-4A win. Anthony Sacco drove in a run and Mason Fridley went 2 for 3 for the Trojans. Kristian Kocon went 2 for 3 for Highlands (5-5, 0-3).

Eden Christian 7, Sewickley Academy 1 – Noah Emswiler had two doubles and two RBIs in a Section 3-A win for Eden Christian (8-2, 5-2). Brady Hull doubled and plated two runs, while Kyle Fowler also doubled. Nolan Donnelly had a single and double and Carter Jackson doubled and drove in a run for Sewickley Academy (1-7, 1-3).

Elizabeth Forward 7, Belle Vernon 0 – Winning pitcher Cy Herchelroath gave up three hits and struck out eight in a complete-game shutout while Joseph Crovak drove in two and Charlie Nigut and Jacob Peterson each knocked in a run as Elizabeth Forward (7-2, 4-1) blanked Belle Vernon (7-1, 6-1) in Section 2-4A. Alonzo Wade had two hits for the Leopards.

Fort Cherry 9, Frazier 2 – In a completion of a suspended game from April 9, Nate Wolfe doubled and knocked in two runs, Ben Demascal and Matt Sieg each had an RBI and Ryan Huey struck out eight in four innings as Fort Cherry (6-4, 6-1) defeated Frazier (4-5, 1-4) in Section 1-2A.

Fox Chapel 7, Mars 3 – Franco Pistella delivered an RBI single, Jeremy Haigh had a sacrifice fly and winning pitcher Blake Krushinski hit a two-run single as Fox Chapel (7-3, 4-3) scored four runs in the top of the ninth to beat Mars (4-5, 1-4) in Section 3-5A. Luke Goodworth drove in a run for the Fightin’ Planets.

Greensburg Central Catholic 6, Carmichaels 5 – Anthony Grippo doubled, advanced to third on a wild pitch and scored on a throwing error in the seventh inning as Greensburg Central Catholic (6-1, 4-0) beat Carmichaels (5-3, 4-2) in Section 1-A. Tyler Samide smashed a three-run home run and Jackson McMullen drove in a run while Alec Martin got the win for the Centurions. Jordan Davis doubled and knocked in four runs for the Mighty Mikes.

Hampton 4, North Catholic 0 – Justin Dubee tripled and drove in three runs while Carter DelGrosso had two hits and an RBI in a Section 1-4A win for Hampton (4-8, 2-5). Joe Safar tripled for North Catholic (5-3, 2-3).

Indiana 11, Greensburg Salem 0 – Ryan Okopal struck out 12 and gave up one hit in six innings in a Section 3-4A win for Indiana (9-0, 4-0). Mark Collinger (3 for 3, RBI) and Jacob Sexton (2 for 2) combined for five hits and three RBIs for the Little Indians. Robert Visnick had a hit for Greensburg Salem (5-3, 3-1).

Jefferson-Morgan 12, West Greene 2 – John Woodward and Brenton Barnhart each collected two hits and a pair of RBIs while Evan Kniha went 2 for 3 with three RBIs to lead Jefferson-Morgan (4-3, 3-3) to a Section 1-A win. Lane Allison was 3 for 3 with two RBIs for West Greene (3-7, 2-3). Drew Allen got the win for the Rockets.

Keystone Oaks 4, Charleroi 3 – Nathan Rohe drew a bases-loaded walk in the eighth to lead Keystone Oaks (5-4, 2-3) to a walk-off win against Charleroi (4-4, 3-3) in Section 4-3A. Rohe finished the game with three RBIs and Ian Bickel got the win for the Eagles. Jace Pager doubled and knocked in a pair of runs for the Cougars.

Knoch 4, Valley 1 – Kaden Dreher had two hits and two RBIs, Dylan Roth had two hits and drove in a run and Landon Harrison also had an RBI in a Section 3-4A win for Knoch (7-7-1, 1-1). Conrad Hoover had two hits and Brady Moore plated a run for Valley (5-6, 0-3).

Laurel 3, Freedom 0 – Luca Santini pitched a no-hitter with nine strikeouts in a Section 2-2A win for Laurel (4-5, 3-2). Kolton Carlson homered and had two RBIs for the Spartans.

Leechburg 9, Aquinas Academy 0 – Jayden Floyd tripled and drove in a run, Garrett Jones had two RBIs and winning pitcher Chase Young fanned eight in five innings as Leechburg (7-1, 7-0) shut out Aquinas Academy (2-6, 2-5) in Section 2-A.

Ligonier Valley 3, Burrell 2 – Tyler Smith brought home the winning run with a single in the seventh to lead Ligonier Valley (2-6, 1-3) past Burrell (5-3, 5-1) in Section 3-3A. Smith finished with two RBIs, Noah Knupp also knocked in a run and Duncan Foust got the win for the Rams. Trey Coury drove in a run for the Bucs.

McGuffey 5, Brownsville 1 – Logan Carlisle and winning pitcher Reno Presto each drove in a run and Sam Stout doubled as McGuffey (7-3, 4-1) bested Brownsville (2-5, 2-5) in Section 4-3A. Jeremiah McDonald doubled and brought home a run for the Falcons. Presto gave up one run on six hits and fanned five for the Highlanders.

Mohawk 17, Beaver Falls; Mohawk 16, Beaver Falls 0 – Mohawk (4-4, 3-2) swept Beaver Falls (1-6, 0-4) in a Section 1-3A doubleheader. In the first game, Cash Stratton hit for the cycle and drove in five runs, Kam O’Lare doubled and drove in a pair and Jackson Chapman doubled twice and had two RBIs for the Warriors. Tyson Davis doubled for the Tigers. Vinny Pezzuolo got the win for Mohawk. In Game 2, Stratton homered and drove in a pair, Briar Crawford doubled and plated two runs and Adam Deal got the win for the Warriors.

Moon 6, Chartiers Valley 5 – Moon (3-5, 3-2) scored on a passed ball in the sixth inning to get past Chartiers Valley (2-5, 5-7) in Section 2-5A. Andrew Cross homered and drove in two runs, Angleo Fachet crushed a solo home run, and Chris Sandor picked up the win for the Tigers. Michael Switala doubled and drove in a pair and Jared Pryor doubled and had an RBI for the Colts.

Mt. Pleasant 12, Yough 2 – Dane Firmstone doubled twice and drove in three, Cole Chatfield, Jordan Grieff and Levi Hixson each knocked in two runs, and Jacob Kitz got the win as Mt. Pleasant (6-4, 4-2) rolled Yough (2-5, 2-3) in Section 3-3A. Raidon Kuroda doubled and plated a pair of runs for the Cougars.

Riverside 20, Sto-Rox 0; Riverside 13, Sto-Rox 1 – Riverside (9-1, 5-1) swept Sto-Rox (0-8, 0-4) in a Section 1-3A doubleheader. In Game 1, Zack Hare homered and drove in five runs, Jackson Barber, Drake Fox and Dylan Meyer each knocked in three runs and Christian Lucarelli and Logan Young combined on a three-inning no-hitter for the Panthers. In Game 2, Lucarelli drove in four runs, Hare tacked on three more and Young picked up the win for the Panthers.

St. Joseph 17, Summit Academy 0; St. Joseph 12, Summit Academy 4 – St. Joseph (2-7, 2-6) swept Summit Academy (0-9, 0-8) in a Section 2-A doubleheader. In Game 1, Gabe Maltese struck out six and didn’t allow a hit. Peter Stickney and Elliot Szalla each plated three runs for the Spartans. Latrobe 9, Kiski Area 1 – Mya McHugh threw a one-hitter and struck out 11 for Latrobe (7-4, 4-2) in a Section 2-5A win. Samantha Matson hit a single for Kiski Area (2-6, 2-3). Maddie Munchinski went 2 for 3 with a double and three RBIs for the Wildcats.

Laurel 9, Riverside 0 – Maddie Evans had a home run and two RBIs and Ivy Pancher tripled and drove in two runs to lead Laurel (8-3, 5-1) to a Section 1-2A win. Adelaide Burry went 2 for 3 with a double for Riverside (2-6, 2-3). Claire Zeppelin threw a four-hit shutout with eight strikeouts.

Leechburg 14, Monessen 8 – Danica Sopack hit a grand slam, Adalyn Zanotto had two doubles, a triple and three RBIs and Ava Ferretti hit two doubles to lead Leechburg (4-3, 2-1) to a Section 3-A win. Grace Clingenpeel hit three doubles and Joey Hurst drove in three runs for Monessen (0-4, 0-2).

Ligonier Valley 12, Deer Lakes 5 – Adelynn Witkowski and Elyse Witcoski hit a home run apiece and Sydnee Foust went 3 for 4 with a double for Ligonier Valley (2-5, 2-0) in a Section 1-3A win. Gracie Spagnolo and Siena Plummer had a home run and two RBIs apiece for Deer Lakes (4-7, 2-2).

Mapletown 9, Avella 3 – Makenna Lotspeich hit a double and home run and Cora Roberts had a home run and two RBIs for Mapletown (3-6, 1-3) in a Section 2-A win. Haleigh Rush and Emily Buel hit a double apiece for Avella (1-7, 0-3).

McGuffey 15, Steel Valley 0 – Kali Franks and Faith Ealy homered and Courtney Bedillion drove in three runs to lead McGuffey (5-3, 2-1) to a Section 3-3A win over Steel Valley (2-6, 0-4). Winning pitcher McKenna Crothers struck out nine and allowed three hits in four innings for the Highlanders.

McKeesport 13, Gateway 2 – Ryenn Thomas went 3 for 4 with a double and two RBIs and Jessica Miller and Esiah Harper had three singles apiece for McKeesport (2-5, 1-4) in a Section 2-5A win. Gianna D’Agostino hit a single for Gateway (3-7, 0-7).

Mohawk 16, Avonworth 6 – Lydia Cole went 3 for 5 with a double, two home runs and three RBIs, Addy Moskal went 4 for 4 with two doubles, a home run and four RBIs and Alivia Hare homered for Mohawk (8-2, 5-0) in a Section 2-3A win. Sydney Savatt hit a double for Avonworth (8-3, 2-2).

Moon 4, Montour 2 – Cami Chambers hit a walk-off two-run homer with two outs in the seventh for Moon (3-4, 1-2) in a Section 3-5A win. Danielle Terpack hit a home run and Shania Cope doubled for Montour (2-6, 0-4). Kendall Trexler doubled and drove in two runs for the Tigers.

Mt. Pleasant 5, Yough 3 – Dani Trainer went 3 for 3 with a double and home run and Kendra Brunson drove in two runs to lead Mt. Pleasant (6-3, 4-0) to a Section 1-3A win. Anna Lindner and Payton Jenkins doubled for Yough (2-5, 0-3).

Neshannock 18, New Brighton 0 – Gianna Paglia and Addy Frye combined to throw a three-inning no-hitter for Neshannock (11-0, 8-0) in a Section 1-2A win over New Brighton (2-5, 1-3). Paglia struck out five in two innings. Frye struck out two in one inning. Gabby Quinn went 2 for 2 with a home run and three RBIs and Anna Measel and Ella Skodak tripled for the Lancers.

North Hills 15, Penn Hills 0 – Mackenzie Rostwitalski threw a three-inning one-hitter and struck out four to lead North Hills (9-3, 4-2) to a Section 1-5A win over Penn Hills (2-9, 0-5). Abigail Sutton and Natalie Anzaldi hit a double apiece for the Indians.

Norwin 5, Canon-McMillan 1 – Rachel Minteer hit a three-run homer and Makenna Black had a single and a home run to lead Norwin (4-6, 4-3) to a Section 1-6A win. Skylah Steban hit a home run for Canon-McMillan (6-6, 4-5).

OLSH 14, Burgettstown 4 – Kaylee Seskey went 2 for 3 with a triple, home run and four RBIs, Mya Eshenbaugh had a single, home run and four RBIs and Leann Walzer went 3 for 3 with a double for OLSH (4-3, 2-0) in a Section 3-2A win over Burgettstown (4-5, 1-2).

Pine-Richland 19, Butler 6 – Abbey Laurent hit a grand slam, Abigail Skripac and Calle Henne hit a home run apiece and Ellie Myers hit a double and triple for Pine-Richland (6-3, 5-3) in a Section 1-6A win. Lily Vicari had a home run and three RBIs for Butler (2-8, 2-5).

Plum 18, New Castle 16 – Lily Deluca hit two home runs, Liana Yusko had a triple and home run and Danielle Pici had a double, two home runs and five RBIs to lead Plum (9-2, 5-1) to a Section 1-5A win. Keara Mangieri had two home runs and four RBIs and Mya Dwyer homered for New Castle (4-6, 2-3).

Seneca Valley 16, Woodland Hills 0 – Livi Cochran hit a grand slam and Lexie Hames doubled for Seneca Valley (8-1, 6-1) in a Section 1-6A win. Morelle Rauenzahn hit a single for Woodland Hills (0-7, 0-6).

Serra Catholic 6, Greensburg Central Catholic 0 – Kelly Morrissey threw a perfect game with 18 strikeouts to lead Serra Catholic (2-4, 2-0) past Greensburg Central Catholic (0-1, 0-1) in Section 3-A. Alonna Morton doubled and Johanna Domek and Abby Opferman drove in two runs apiece for the Eagles.

Shaler 16, Mars 0 – Bria Bosiljevac threw a three-inning no-hitter and struck out four to lead Shaler (7-2, 5-0) to a Section 1-5A win over Mars (2-10, 1-5). Jayla Antomachi went 2 for 2 with a double for the Titans.

Shenango 18, Freedom 1 – Kennadi Lynn threw a four-inning one-hitter and struck out 11 for Shenango (5-4, 4-1) in a Section 1-2A win. Harmony Martin singled and drove in a run for Freedom (0-9, 0-6). Emma Herb went 4 for 4 with two doubles, a triple and three RBIs, Teagan Schippert doubled and drove in three runs and Zoe Offie hit a double and triple for the Wildcats.

South Fayette 8, Upper St. Clair 5 – Emma Smith had a double, triple and two RBIs and Makenna Galish drove in two runs to lead South Fayette (7-2, 2-0) to a Section 3-5A win. Brooklyn Kemp had a double and three RBIs for Upper St. Clair (6-2, 1-2).

South Side 21, Bishop Canevin 0 – Maya Ringhoff threw a three-inning no-hitter and struck out five for South Side (4-6, 1-2) in a Section 1-A win over Bishop Canevin (2-5, 1-3). Ringhoff went 3 for 4 with two doubles and seven RBIs, Ariel Poelcher hit a grand slam and Reagann Tate hit a three-run homer for the Rams.

Southmoreland 17, Burrell 11 – Makayla Brown, Makayla Etling and Zoey Murphy hit a double and home run apiece to lead Southmoreland (4-3, 2-1) to a Section 1-3A win. Bella Stewart hit a double and home run and Christina Gural hit two doubles for Burrell (4-7, 0-4).

Trinity 7, Baldwin 3 – Ally Krenzelak went 3 for 3 with a home run and three RBIs and Alexa Zawacki hit a single and double for Trinity (7-5, 5-1) in a Section 4-5A win. Ryley Shaw hit a home run for Baldwin (9-2, 5-1).

Union 19, Sewickley Academy 0 – Mia Pruehs threw a three-inning perfect game for Union (6-1, 3-0) in a Section 1-A win over Sewickley Academy (7-1, 4-1). Aleah Kroesen, Korynne Shannon, Olivia Benedict and Olivia Williams hit a home run apiece and Irelyn Fisher went 2 for 2 with a double and three RBIs for the Scotties.

Uniontown 2, Laurel Highlands 1 – Emmaleigh Noah struck out nine and Alivia Noah drove in a run to lead Uniontown (5-4, 3-2) to a Section 2-4A win. Payton Senge struck out 11 for Laurel Highlands (3-6, 2-3).

Waynesburg 5, Frazier 4 – Gina Tedrow struck out 15 and allowed two hits in seven innings for Waynesburg (5-3, 2-0) in a Section 4-2A win. Emme Travalena hit a triple and Grace Vaughn doubled for Frazier (5-2, 2-1).

West Greene 9, Jefferson-Morgan 0 – Kendra Tharp went 2 for 4 with a home run and three RBIs and Marissa Tharp hit two singles for West Greene (8-1, 3-1) in a Section 2-A win. Addalei Larkin hit a double for Jefferson-Morgan (5-2, 2-1).

Derry 3, Steel Valley 0 – Duke Klapchar collected six kills and three aces to lead Derry to a Section 1-2a win. Jaiden Beeman had five kills and three aces and Landon Campbell served six aces for the Trojans.

Girls lacrosse

Mars 19, Ambridge 1 – Hailey Long had three goals and two assists to lead Mars to a Section 2-2A win. Katie Blake, Anna McGrath and Tess McGrath also scored three goals apiece for the Fightin’ Planets.

Pine-Richland 17, Shaler 4 – Cate Gentile collected four goals and four assists to lead Pine-Richland to a Section 2-3A victory. Mallory Boivin added four goals and two assists and Cara Murray made six saves for Pine-Richland. Kendyll Jerry and Claire Mill each scored twice and MacKay Young had a goal and two assists.

Upper St. Clair 17, Bethel Park 7 – Katie Sweeney had two goals and an assist, including her 100th career point, to lead Upper St. Clair to a Section 1-3A win. Riley Powell and Anna Capobres each scored four goals, Sierra Besselman added three and Charlotte Swanson made seven saves for the Panthers.
