High school roundup for April 19, 2025: Penn-Trafford picks up win over North Allegheny

Dom Delio threw five scoreless innings, allowing one hit and striking out four, to lead Penn-Trafford to a 9-1 win over North Allegheny in nonsection baseball Saturday.

Logan Matrisch and Johnny Lovre drove in two runs apiece and Ethan Septak and Brandon Kane each had an RBI for the Warriors (8-5). Nate Surman doubled and drove in a run for the Tigers (8-3).

Burgettstown 3, California 2 – Matt Bredel struck out nine in 6⅓ innings, singled and drove in a run to lead Burgettstown (7-1, 5-1) to a Section 1-2A win. Sam Elich singled and drove in a pair of runs and Jayden Roach got the final two outs to earn the save for the Blue Devils. Colton Lowden singled, doubled and drove in a run and Logan Hartley also had an RBI for California (4-5, 4-2).

Neshannock 16, Union 10 – Jackson Biondi went 3 for 3 with a double and two RBIs and Cole Hutchison went 3 for 3 with a double and one RBI to help Neshannock (8-3) to a nonsection win. Hayden Tatterson and Nathan Rickel doubled and drove in a run for the Lancers. Colton Cox singled, homered and drove in five runs and Geno Biondi had a double and two RBIs for Union (3-7).

Softball

North Pocono 8, Thomas Jefferson 7 – Riley Grambo hit a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the seventh to lead North Pocono (11-1) to a nonsection win. Paige Dymek doubled and drove in a run for the Trojans. Morgan Alisesky went 5 for 5 with a double, homer and four RBIs to lead Thomas Jefferson (6-5). Adalina Bracco singled and homered and Sophia Janosko singled and doubled for the Jaguars.
