Nathan Wesling scored 22 points to lead Baldwin to a 56-49 victory over Peters Township in a battle of unbeaten teams in Section 3-5A boys basketball Tuesday night.

Max Marzina, Matthew Schenk and Caden Cherico added 10 points apiece for the Highlanders (6-0, 1-0). Dylan Donovan scored 21 points for Peters Township (5-1, 1-1).

Belle Vernon 79, Yough 37 – Luca Ghilani scored 14 points to lead six players in double figures for Belle Vernon (5-2, 2-0) in a Section 3-4A win. Dane Daughtery and Elijah Majors added 12 points apiece and Dominic Ghilani, Cameron Jenko and Jude Minniti each had 10 points for the Leopards. Tyler Smith scored 11 points for Yough (1-6, 0-2).

Three players scored in double figures for the Warriors in Torrie DeStefano (20 points), Lauren Marton (14) and Isabella Fontana (13). Carley Berk had a career night for the Wildcats, scoring 31 points, including a half-court buzzer-beater at the end of the first quarter. Maggie Maiers added 15 points in the loss.

Peters Township 64, Baldwin 42 – Natalie Wetzel hit for 23 points to lead Peters Township (6-0, 2-0) to a Section 4-5A win. Julianne Ott led Baldwin (3-4, 0-1) with 20 points.

Conemaugh Township 47, Ligonier Valley 24 – Dylan Hovanec (139), Landon Ray Romesburg, Landon Huffman (172) and Daniel Vanfossen (215) had pins and Carter Christ (114) won by tech fall for Conemaugh Township (2-0) in a nonsection match. Carter Bizup (133) and Aidan Mulheren (152) recorded pins for Ligonier Valley (2-10).

Derry 56, Forest Hills 18 – Rocco DeCario, Dylan Bateman, Hayden Hood, Jeremiah Gess, Brady Brown and Giovanni Beatrice recorded pins to lead Derry (12-2) to a nonsection win over Forest Hills (3-6). Anthony Mucci and Ewan Olson won by tech fall and Brett Klim by major decision for the Trojans.

Kiski Area 59, West Mifflin 12 – Gavin Murphy (114), Jayden Duffner (133), Tyler Bollinger (152) and Mark Gray (189) recorded pins to lead Kiski Area (9-3) to a nonsection win. Paxton Newell (107), Jackson Pollick (139), Bear Joseph (145) and Mario Hutcherson (172) won by tech fall and Payton King (121) by decision for the Cavaliers.
