High school roundup for Dec. 22, 2024: No. 2 Montour rolls past Lincoln Park

Ama Sow scored 28 points and added 20 rebounds and five blocks in leading Class 5A No. 2 Montour to a 76-37 victory over Lincoln Park in a Section 4-5A boys basketball game Sunday at the Pittsburgh Holiday Classic at PPG Paints Arena.

Kaleb Platz added 15 points, including three 3-pointers, and Colton Straight added 13 points for the Spartans (6-0, 3-0).

Dionte Henry had 12 points, and Antonio Goodman added 11 for Lincoln Park (2-5, 0-2).

Fox Chapel 59, Peters Township 50 (OT) — Caden Kaiser had 21 points and 10 rebounds in leading Fox Chapel to an overtime win over Class 5A No. 3 Peters Township at the Pittsburgh Holiday Classic at PPG Paints Arena.

John Rehak had 11 points and eight rebounds, and Asher White added 10 points and five rebounds for the Foxes (7-1). Fox Chapel sophomore Joey McGivney had all seven of his points in overtime. Dylan Donovan scored 15 points and Mikey Vaccarello had 13 for Peters Township (6-2).

Moon 46, South Fayette 29 — At the Pittsburgh Holiday Classic at PPG Paints Arena, Michael Santicola scored 12 points, and Braeden Stuart added 10 as defending WPIAL champion Moon (5-2) gave South Fayette (6-1) its first loss.

Mt. Lebanon 53, Butler College Prep, Ill. 38 — Eli Deibert had 16 points, and Carter Gould (four 3-pointers) and Ryan Kokut each added 12 points as Mt. Lebanon (5-3) won at the Seahawk Classic at Hilton Head, S.C.
