Nate Wesling scored 23 points to lead Class 5A No. 1 Baldwin to a 66-57 boys basketball victory over Class 4A No. 5 Beaver on Friday at the Central Valley Roundball Classic at Geneva College.

Caden Cherico added 17 points and EJ Golvash had 12 for the Highlanders (8-0). Brady Mayo scored 27 points and Nick Krzeczowski added 20 for the Bobcats (7-2).

Ambridge 70, Rochester 58 – Adam Fernandez scored 24 points and Jared Astorino added 21 for Ambridge (2-5) at the tournament hosted by the Bridgers. Jayvin Hemer and Nate Bills scored 22 points apiece for Rochester (3-6).

Aquinas Academy 85, Carlynton 76 – Jake Guillen scored 26 points and Sam Duer added 23 for Aquinas Academy (7-1) at the tournament hosted by the Crusaders. David Zaharko had 17 and Jonah Burchill 11 for Aquinas. Ishaga Barre scored 21 and Mike Jenkins added 16 for Carlynton (4-4). Damien Holloway had 12 and Julian Torres 11.

Avonworth 72, Woodland Hills 42 – Rowan Carmichael led with 30 points, Noah Goetz followed with 19 and Noah Quinn added 10 to lead Avonworth (6-1) past Woodland Hills (3-5) at the Ambridge tournament.

Bethel Park 56, North Hills 55 – Jack Bruckner scored 12 points to lead Bethel Park (3-5) at the Hampton tournament. Zach Pollaro scored 22 and Nathan Schanbacher had 15 for North Hills (2-7).

Blackhawk 73, Beaver Falls 47 – Tyler Heckathorn (27) and Justin Shanor (23) combined for 50 points to lead Blackhawk (3-7) at the Central Valley tournament at Geneva College. Braylon Pitts scored 14 points and Dajuan Flenory added 10 for Beaver Falls (0-10).

Brashear 55, Riverside 54 – Mike Lee led the way with 22 points for Brashear while Mike Lowrey contributed 13 in the win for Brashear (2-8) at the Burgettstown tournament. Drake Fox (17), Logan Young (17) and Will Sullivan (11) combined for 45 for Riverside (6-4).

West Allegheny 57, Penn Hills 56 – Alaina Holtz had 16 points and Ella Smith added 10 to push West Allegheny (5-3) past Penn Hills at the North Allegheny tournament. Malaya Middleton scored 21 points and Milani Oliver had 17 for Penn Hills (1-7).

Winchester Thurston 48, Trinity Christian 15 – DaShae Cochran scored 11 points and Sky Still chipped in 10 for Winchester Thurston (5-2) at the South Allegheny tournament. Elena Myer scored 11 for Trinity Christian.
