Gemma Walker scored 18 points and Natalie Wetzel followed with 15 to lead Peters Township to a 53-49 victory over Chartiers Valley in a battle for first place in Section 2-6A girls basketball Thursday night.

Daniela Radulovich added 12 points for Peters (14-0, 5-0). Lilah Turnbull led Chartiers Valley (10-2, 4-1) with 20 points.

Albert Gallatin 37, Connellsville 36 – Grayce Panos and Mikayla Shea scored 14 points apiece to lead Albert Gallatin (4-9, 1-5) to a Section 3-5A win. Elizabeth Painter led Connellsville (3-9, 0-5) with 11 points.

Aliquippa 47, Freedom 45 (OT) – Carla Brown and Evanna Lay scored 12 points apiece and Aunesty Johnson added 10 to lead Aliquippa (10-1, 5-0) to an overtime win in Section 1-2A. Shaye Bailey scored 20 points and Olivia Henderson added 15 for Freedom (5-8, 3-2).

Aquinas Academy 43, Bishop Canevin 11 – Emily Fisher scored 15 points, leading all scorers, as Aquinas Academy (12-2, 2-1) defeated Bishop Canevin (2-9, 0-3) in Section 1-A.

Avonworth 54, East Allegheny 9 – Rebecca Goetz had 12 points as Avonworth (12-1, 4-0) defeated East Allegheny (0-13, 0-4) in Section 2-3A. Greta O’Brien had 10 points for the ‘Lopes.

Beaver Falls 62, Ellwood City 57 – Taylor Pullen led with 21 points, Dreaven Haskins followed with 17 and Avina Norman added 13 for Beaver Falls (9-3, 4-0) in a Section 1-3A win. Kayla Jones scored 25 points and Claire Noble had 13 for Ellwood City (9-5, 2-2).

Beth-Center 36, Bentworth 24 – Violet Trump scored 14 points and Lauren Brown added 10 to lead Beth-Center (6-6, 3-2) past Bentworth (3-11, 0-6) in Section 4-2A.

Blackhawk 65, Quaker Valley 21 – Alena Fusetti led Blackhawk (12-2, 4-0) with 22 points and Aubree Hupp added 12 in a Section 2-4A win. Mimi Theiro scored 17 points for Quaker Valley (2-10, 2-2).

Burgettstown 51, Brentwood 25 – Paige Klodowski hit seven 3-pointers and scored 24 points and Kaitlyn Nease added 13 points for Burgettstown (7-8, 3-0) in a Section 2-2A win. Ay’maree Henry scored 14 for Brentwood (5-7, 2-2).

Burrell 47, Apollo-Ridge 29 – Julianna Fisher scored a team-high 18 points as Burrell (9-3, 3-1) defeated Apollo-Ridge (6-8, 2-2) in Section 3-3A. Casey Brancato had 12 points for Burrell. Sophie Yard led all scorers with 20 points for Apollo-Ridge.

Butler 67, Hempfield 55 – Amelia McMichael scored 19 points and Sydney Patterson added 17 to power Butler (3-10, 1-3) to a Section 1-6A win. Malina McElroy chipped in 10. Sarah Podkul scored 21 and Ashley Hosni finished with 19 for Hempfield (7-7, 0-4).

Carlynton 49, Sto-Rox 31 – Carlee Hughes scored 21 points to lead Carlynton (4-9, 1-3) to a Section 2-2A win. Kamiyah Thompson led Sto-Rox (4-9, 0-3) with 21 points.

Cheswick Christian Academy 24, Harvest Baptist 7 – Allie Szramowski scored 10 points and Grace Kostick added six to lead Cheswick Christian Academy past Harvest Baptist.

Elizabeth Forward 49, Belle Vernon 27 – Mia Sostaric scored 12 points and Kaelynn Settles had 10 for Elizabeth Forward (11-2, 4-0) in a Section 3-4A win. Kenzi Seliga scored nine points for Belle Vernon (6-7, 3-3).

Fort Cherry 52, Northgate 19 – Raney Staub scored 15 for Fort Cherry (9-4, 3-1) in a Section 2-2A win. Cassidy Auth led Northgate (4-8, 2-2) with 11 points.

Keystone Oaks 49, South Allegheny 19 – Fran Pacak scored 20 points as Keystone Oaks (10-3, 2-2) defeated South Allegheny (4-9, 1-3) in a Section 2-3A matchup. Bailey Rieg scored 19 points with five 3-pointers for Keystone Oaks.

Knoch 61, Valley 12 – Adah Fuller led Knoch (7-5, 3-2) with 13 points, Karlee Buterbaugh had 12 and McKenna Brailey added 10 in a Section 1-4A win. Ameria Simmons scored eight points for Valley (0-13, 0-5).

Latrobe 65, Thomas Jefferson 56 – Elle Snyder scored 24 points, Carley Berk added 21 and Belle Blossey finished with 10 as Latrobe (7-6, 3-2) defeated Thomas Jefferson (5-8, 2-3) in Section 3-5A.

Laurel 41, Riverside 29 – Jael Henderson scored a game-high 18 points for Laurel (4-10, 1-3) as the Spartans defeated Riverside (3-7, 0-4) in Section 1-3A. Gabriella Finch scored 11 points for Riverside.

Laurel Highlands 46, West Mifflin 20 – Miya Harris led Laurel Highlands (11-1, 4-1) with 16 points and Aierra Jenkins added 13 in a Section 3-4A win over West Mifflin (6-5, 4-1).

Lincoln Park 59, Montour 31 – J’La Kizart scored 23 points and Maddie Syka, Sarah Scott and Abby Januzzi added 10 points each for Lincoln Park (13-0, 4-0) in Section 4-5A. Julia Cox led Montour (5-7, 1-3) with nine points.

McGuffey 57, Yough 31 – Alexis Ewig led McGuffey (11-2, 2-2) with 19 points and Taylor Schumacher added 10 in a Section 4-3A win. Kadence Roebuck scored 10 points for Yough (6-6, 1-2).

Neshannock 48, Mohawk 46 – Rian Owens scored 12 points to lead Neshannock (8-4, 4-0) to a Section 1-3A win. Chloe Fadden led Mohawk (8-6, 1-3) with 14 points and Kiera Julian and Aricka Young had 10 points apiece.

North Allegheny 59, Seneca Valley 46 – Caroline Henderson scored 18 points and Kellie McConnell and Lydia Betz added 16 points apiece to lead North Allegheny (9-1, 3-1) to a Section 1-6A win. Natalie Hambly led Seneca Valley (10-3, 3-1) with 19 points and Emerson Peffer had 11.

North Hills 55, Mars 38 – Gianna Sturdivant scored 20 points and Olivia Waters and Delaney Amato added 13 apiece for North Hills (8-6, 5-0) in a Section 2-5A win. Cecilia Christy led Mars (8-6, 3-2) with 15 points.

Norwin 52, Pine-Richland 28 – Lauren Palangio scored 13 points and Kendall Berger added 10 as Norwin (11-3, 4-0) beat Pine-Richland (2-9, 1-3) in Section 1-6A.

Preston (WV) 47, Uniontown 25 – Cameryn Sypolt scored 12 points as Preston (WV) won in nonsection competition. Geelece Ingram and A’Kira Dade scored seven points each for Uniontown (3-8).

Serra Catholic 67, Winchester Thurston 44 – Abby Genes scored 27 points and Brianna Battles added 14 to lead Serra Catholic (9-2, 4-1) to a Section 3-2A win. Jasmine Hollins led Winchester Thurston (6-6, 3-1) with 21 points and DaShae Cochran had 11.

Seton LaSalle 63, OLSH 44 – Mallory Daly led Seton LaSalle (9-3, 3-0) with 28 points and Tiara Curry added 15 in a Section 2-3A win. Morgan O’Brien scored 20 points for OLSH (9-5, 1-3).

Shady Side Academy 47, Deer Lakes 8 – Maggie Spell scored 21 points and Karin Thomas added 12 for Shady Side Academy (10-2, 4-0) in a Section 3-3A win over Deer Lakes (4-9, 0-4).

Southmoreland 42, Ringgold 30 – Bea Pawlikowsky scored 10 points as Southmoreland (1-11, 1-4) won in Section 3-4A to pick up its first victory of the season. The Scotties jumped out to a 10-4 lead in the first quarter. Addison Jenkins scored 10 to lead Ringgold (3-10, 0-5).

South Side 55, Sewickley Academy 45 – Bailey Strnisa scored 18 points, Miladija Pavlovich added 13 and Eden Schrier had 10 to lead South Side (9-5, 3-2) to a Section 1-2A win. Libby Eannarino led Sewickley Academy (4-6, 1-4) with 26 points and Emma Eannarino had 11.

St. Joseph 67, Leechburg 19 – Julie Spinelli scored 18 points, Gia Richter had 15 and Anna Kreinbrook added 14 to lead St. Joseph (11-2, 4-0) to a Section 3-A win. Olivia Vigna scored eight for Leechburg (4-5, 0-2).

Trinity 64, South Fayette 57 (OT) – Maddy Roberts scored 20 points and Agatha Niccolai added 17 to help Trinity (11-1, 4-0) to a Section 4-5A win. Macie Justice and Ruby Morgan each scored 10 points for the Hillers. Lainey Yater scored 12 points and Haylie Lamonde added 10 for South Fayette (7-5, 2-2).

Union 41, Harbor Creek 29 – Kylie Fruehstorfer led Union (9-5) with 16 points and Kelly Cleaver added nine in a nonsection win over Harbor Creek.

Washington 56, California 41 – Olivia Woods led Washington (5-7, 4-1) with 31 points and Taylor Barnes added 10 in a Section 4-2A win. Rakiyah Porter scored 16 points for California (6-5, 3-2).

Waynesburg 48, South Park 36 – Addison Blair scored 13 points and Kylie Rohanna, Josie Horne and Avery Davis added nine points apiece to lead Waynesburg (13-1, 4-0) to a Section 4-3A win. Brook Paylo and Addy Kerr scored 10 points apiece for South Park (7-4, 3-1).

West Greene 52, Jefferson-Morgan 38 – Kasie Meek led West Greene (3-7, 2-1) with 12 points in a Section 2-A win. Kayla Larkin scored 20 points and Ava Wood had 10 for Jefferson-Morgan (2-11, 0-3).

Albert Gallatin 70, Belle Vernon 67 – Led by 25 points from Blake White, 22 from Shymere Wilson and 13 from JJ Jackson, Albert Gallatin (6-5, 2-1) earned a Section 3-4A win. Zion Moore scored 25 and Curtis Wade added 14 for Belle Vernon (7-4, 2-2).

Cheswick Christian Academy 62, Harvest Baptist Academy 40 – Grant Rochkind scored 30 points, Brady Rochkind added 19 and Joseph Rosio had 11 to lead Cheswick Christian Academy (7-2) to a win in the Southwestern Christian Athletic Conference. Stephen Boyce scored 14 and Sam Smith added 13 for Harvest Baptist.

Propel Andrew Street 52, Environmental Charter 16 – Darryl McCullough scored 12 points and Maurice Lowry added 11 to lead Propel Andrew Street past Environmental Charter.

Winchester Thurston 68, Geibel 36 – Henry McComb scored a game-high 15 points as Winchester Thurston (7-5, 2-1) defeated Geibel (0-13, 0-3) in nonsection play. Charlie Tea and Michael Hammerling scored 14 and 10 points respectively for Winchester Thurston. Tommy Kolencik scored 14 for Geibel.

Beaver 8, Richland 1 – Roman Guido had a hat trick, Zack Masters added two goals and an assist, Gabe Forney collected a goal and three assists and Carson Cuddy had a goal and two assists to lead Beaver (6-6-2) to a Class A win. Riley Yorchak scored for Richland (4-10).

Bethel Park 6, Cathedral Prep 3 – Anthony Karner racked up five goals and Ethan Cooley had five assists to power Bethel Park (8-4-1) in a Class 3A victory. Will Alborg also scored and Vincent Klingensmith had two assists. Ashton Duchini, Garrett Schwartz and Chris Bruschi scored for Cathedral Prep (5-8-1).

Bishop McCort 2, Hempfield 1 (SO) – Nikita Kolomejtsev scored the tying goal with 2:57 left in regulation and Hleb Subach made 38 saves as Bishop McCort (5-8-1) won in a shootout in Class 2A. Austin Herron scored for Hempfield (6-6-1).

Blackhawk 7, Plum 2 – Beck Harry had two goals and an assist and Owen Gratkowski also scored twice to lead Blackhawk (8-2-1) to a Class A win. Travis Marks had a goal and an assist and Colby Bartos also scored for Plum (7-6-1).

Burrell 7, Deer Lakes 3 – Aidan Petroff had a hat trick and Chantz Watkins, Julian Kemp, Forrest Baird and Mike Morazcyzk each had a goal to lead Burrell (11-3) to a Varsity D2 win. AJ Schaaf, RJ Noullet and Zachary Nacey scored for Deer Lakes (8-5).

Chartiers Valley 6, Wheeling Catholic 1 – Noah Callender had a hat trick to lead Chartiers Valley (13-0) to a Class A win. Romeo Isold had a goal and two assists, Brayden Knight added a goal and an assist and Chris DeAngelis also scored for CV. Logan Pielech scored for Wheeling Catholic (6-6-1).

Penn-Trafford 4, Latrobe 1 – Marco Ferraccio had two goals and an assist and Bryce Kopczysnki added a goal and an assist for Penn-Trafford (6-4-2) in a Class 2A win. Kyler Doran also scored for Penn-Trafford. Dylan Morris had a goal for Latrobe (10-4).

Pine-Richland 4, North Allegheny 3 (SO) – AJ Verszyla, Josh Lanyard and Hayden Keegan scored for Pine-Richland (8-4) in a shootout win in Class 3A. Ravi Desai, Evan Kerber and Luke Walkauskas scored for North Allegheny (8-3-2), which rallied with two third-period goals.

Ringgold 8, Trinity 0 – Phil Quattrone had two goals and two assists, Brady Lippert also scored twice and Collin Moffett made 27 saves to lead Ringgold (7-4-2) past Trinity (1-10) in Varsity D2. Landon Vaccaro added a goal and three assists for Ringgold.

Seneca Valley 4, Upper St. Clair 3 (OT) – Jimmy Murtha completed his hat trick with the game-winning goal 10 seconds into overtime to lead Seneca Valley (11-3) to a Class 3A win. Marshall Hewitt also scored for Seneca Valley. Eli Rankin had a hat trick for Upper St. Clair (7-2-3). Collin McCarthy and Dylan Yealy each had two assists.

South Fayette 8, Armstrong 1 – Nolan Murphy and Nathaniel Keller scored two goals each to lead South Fayette (9-1-2) to a Class 2A win. Adam Hooks scored for Armstrong (3-10). Robert Chiappetta, Trevor Dalessandro, Ivan Kalinkou and Tyler Brandebura also scored for the Lions.

Thomas Jefferson 4, Fox Chapel 3 (OT) – Nick Best had a goal and an assist, including the game-winner in overtime, to lead Thomas Jefferson (10-2) to a Class 2A win. Connor McCann, Andrew Oliver and Ryder McGuirk also scored for TJ. Liam Wiseman and Dom Casile each had a goal and an assist and Tucker Cullen also scored for Fox Chapel (8-5-1).

Wheeling Park 9, Moon 4 – Landon Szazynski had a hat trick for Wheeling Park (13-3) in a Class A win. Noah Driscoll scored two goals for Moon (8-6).
