Dana Kromah scored 22 points as Quaker Valley knocked off Class 4A No. 1 Avonworth, 59-56, in Section 2-4A boys basketball Tuesday night.

Nic Cohen added 13 points for the Quakers (13-4, 4-3). Rowan Carmichael scored 20 points and Noah Goetz and Carson Bellinger each added 15 for the Antelopes (14-3, 6-1).

Aliquippa 76, Riverside 33 – Joshua Pratt scored 21 points and Qa’lil Goode added 19 to power Aliquippa (13-3, 9-0) to a Section 1-3A victory. Michael Gaskins added 10 for the Quips. Drake Fox led Riverside (7-13, 2-8) with 15 points.

Allderdice 70, Westinghouse 33 – Lukas Stead scored 27 points and Keith Taylor added 12 to help Allderdice (9-9, 6-0) to a City League win. Darian Saunders led Westinghouse (2-10, 2-4) with nine points.

Beaver 70, Hopewell 57 – Brady Mayo led with 18 points, Phillip Marino followed with 17 and Nick Kreczowski and Logan Weiland added 12 points apiece for Beaver (14-4, 5-2) in a Section 2-4A win. Zack Kovell scored 17 points and James Armstrong had 16 for Hopewell (6-12, 1-6).

Bishop Canevin 68, McGuffey 56 – Damar Olds (17), Eddie Benton III (16), Drew Allen (15) and Lamier Wade (14) all scored in double figures for Bishop Canevin (9-8, 7-0) in a Section 2-3A win. Ayden Cunningham led all scorers with 27 for McGuffey (13-5, 4-3).

Butler 61, Woodland Hills 53 – Stainton Forbes put up 21 points, Tayt Lucas followed with 16 and Andrew Gettinger finished with 13 as Butler (12-6, 5-6) bested Woodland Hills (7-11, 3-8) in Section 1-6A.

Carlynton 56, Sto-Rox 52 – Damien Holloway scored 18 points while Devonte Dean and Dewayne Fisher each added nine points as Carlynton (8-10, 3-4) beat Sto-Rox (2-15, 0-7) in Section 2-3A.

Carmichaels 61, Beth-Center 21 – Robbie Wilson-Jones scored 12 points and Dayton Reynolds added 11 for Carmichaels (4-13, 3-8) in a Section 3-2A win. Jason Zellie scored 23 points and made five 3-pointers for Beth-Center (8-10, 5-6).

Carrick 74, Brashear 60 – Brayden Fisher went off for 37 points and Stephon Malloy added 16 to lead Carrick (7-8, 2-3) past Brashear (4-13, 1-5) in City League. Mike Lee scored 26 points and Ryan White had 10 for the Bulls.

Central Catholic 74, Canon-McMillan 53 – Enzo Khalil scored 25 points to lead Central Catholic (11-6, 8-3) to a Section 2-6A win. Roman Koenemund scored 18 points for Canon-McMillan (3-15, 1-10).

Central Valley 60, Ambridge 44 – Isaiah Jeter dropped 22 points, hitting the 1,000-point mark for his career, to lead Central Valley (15-3, 5-2) to a Section 2-4A win over Ambridge (4-12, 0-6). Jared Astorino scored 17, Julien Hubbard added 14 and Adam Fernandez had 11 for the Bridgers.

Chartiers Valley 79, Lincoln Park 61 – Jayden Davis led all scorers with 27 points, Julien Semplice added 13, Niko Hines followed with 12, Danny Slizik scored 11 and Luca Federico chipped in 10 as Chartiers Valley (16-3, 8-2) won a Section 4-5A contest. Mason Rowan made five 3-pointers and had 22 points while Damar Johnson also sank five 3s and put up 19 points for Lincoln Park (2-14, 0-9).

Chartiers-Houston 61, Burgettstown 45 – Justus Buckingham and Aaron Walsh each scored 17 points and Nate Gregory finished with 16 as Chartiers-Houston (15-2, 9-1) defeated Burgettstown (5-13, 2-9) in Section 3-2A. Parker Rommes put up 17 and Sam Elich added 14 for the Blue Devils.

Cheswick Christian Academy 58, Pittsburgh Christian Academy 27 – Joseph Rosio dropped 25 points and Brady Rochkind added 18 as Cheswick Christian (7-0) defeated Pittsburgh Christian (5-2) in a Southwestern Christian Athletic Conference matchup.

Deer Lakes 64, Highlands 59 – Collin Rogers scored 19 points to lead Deer Lakes (16-3, 9-1) past Highlands (4-12, 3-6) in Section 1-4A. J.T. McCue added 13 points, Nathaniel Moore had 12 and Evan Moore finished with 11 for the Lancers.

East Allegheny 57, Greensburg Salem 37 – Chris Portis scored 13 points and Jayden Patterson had 12 for East Allegheny (5-13, 2-7) in a Section 3-4A win. Braedon Leatherman and Tyler Martin scored 10 points apiece for Greensburg Salem (4-13, 3-7).

Fox Chapel 52, North Allegheny 20 – Asher White scored 13 points and Joey McGivney added a career-high 11 to lead Fox Chapel (14-4, 9-2) to a Section 1-6A win. Carter Melzer scored 11 points for North Allegheny (7-11, 2-9).

Franklin Regional 49, Laurel Highlands 44 – Connor Crossey led all scorers with 27 points and hit 13 of 14 free-throw attempts to power Franklin Regional (8-10, 3-7) to a Section 1-5A win. Luke Martin scored 11 points while Antwan Black, Aiden Black and Sevi Vecchiolla scored 10 points apiece for Laurel Highlands (4-14, 1-10).

Freeport 74, Valley 63 – Carson Kane scored 25 points and Bryson Paga added 17 to lead Freeport (5-12, 2-7) to a Section 1-4A win. Taireke Davis scored 26 points and Jaden Wall had 15 for Valley (5-13, 0-10).

Gateway 56, Albert Gallatin 30 – Mykel Bruce-McCrommon scored 26 points to lead Gateway (10-7, 8-3) to a Section 1-5A win. JJ Jackson scored 13 points for Albert Gallatin (7-11, 2-9).

Geibel Catholic 62, St. Joseph 41 – Evan Strimel scored 21 points and Seth Dolan followed with 19 as Geibel Catholic (11-7, 3-4) defeated St. Joseph (7-9, 2-4) in Section 2-A. Ben Bartolovic put up 13 for the Spartans.

Greensburg Central Catholic 65, Bentworth 43 – Liam Gallagher led with 17 points, Brady O’Rouke followed with 13, Samir Crosby had 11 and AJ Tarpley added 10 for Greensburg Central Catholic (16-1, 10-0) in a Section 1-2A win. Christopher Harper scored 18 points and Ryan Moessner had 10 for Bentworth (7-9, 4-6).

Hampton 63, Indiana 56 – Gavin Guinn led with 26 points and Jones Cupp followed with 17 to push Hampton (10-8, 6-4) to a Section 2-5A win. Aaron Webb scored 20 points and Stanford Webb had 10 for Indiana (6-12, 3-7).

Imani Christian 63, Hempfield 61 (OT) – RJ Sledge put up 19 points, Kieshaun Demus added 17, Donovan Gordon chipped in 12 and I’Zayah Bradshaw had 10 for Imani Christian (11-6, 9-2) in a Section 2-6A win in overtime. Drew Gordon led all scorers with 30 points, Daniel Husentis finished with 12 and Max Williams contributed 11 for Hempfield (8-9, 3-7).

Jeannette 68, Frazier 35 – Xavier Odorisio-Farrow put up 20 points, Kymon’e Brown added 15, Marcus McGowen followed with 13 and Noah Sunder had 11 for Jeannette (15-1, 8-1) in a Section 1-2A win. Trey Whitehead scored 13 for Frazier (3-15, 1-10).

Keystone Oaks 53, Washington 36 – Erond Jakupi scored 23 points and Joseph Colton added 14 to lead Keystone Oaks (13-5, 5-2) to a Section 2-3A win. Tristan Reed scored 15 points for Washington (4-12, 2-5).

Kiski Area 51, Armstrong 40 – Carson Heinle scored 17 points and Colin Keller added 13 to lead Kiski Area (10-6, 8-1) to a Section 2-5A win. Jacob Szep scored 20 points for Armstrong (5-12, 0-9).

Laurel 60, Rochester 48 (OT) – Luca Santini led Laurel (8-10, 2-8) with 16 points and Tyrone Kunselman followed with 10 in a Section 4-2A win. Bobby George scored 13 points and Jayvin Hemer had 11 for Rochester (5-13, 2-9).

Mohawk 61, Ellwood City 44 – Drew Wrona scored 16 points while Joey Nail dropped 13 points for Mohawk (15-4, 8-1) in a Section 1-3A. Kaleb Servick finished with 12 for Ellwood City (12-7, 7-3).

Moon 84, Blackhawk 66 – Amir Turner scored 24 points, Michael Santicola followed with 22 and Carter Tumulty finished with 19 for Moon (15-4, 6-3) in a Section 4-5A win. Tyler Heckathorn dropped 24 points, Justin Shanor added 17 and Marco Fusetti chipped in 12 for Blackhawk (5-12, 2-8).

Mt. Lebanon 84, Norwin 60 – Liam Sheely put up 29 points and Carter Gould drained seven 3-pointers for 21 points as Mt. Lebanon (11-6, 7-4) beat Norwin (8-9, 4-6) in Section 2-6A. Cade Barron scored 11 and Dom Kantz added 10 for the Knights.

North Catholic 67, Burrell 39 – Jason Fredericks and Jude Rottmann each made four three-pointers to power North Catholic (13-5, 8-1) to a Section 1-4A win. Fredericks finished with 22 points and Rottman had 12. Tucker Bitar led Burrell (6-12, 3-7) with 19 points.

OLSH 82, Western Beaver 42 – Tiernan McCullough scored 17 points to lead five players in double figures for OLSH (15-4, 10-1) in Section 4-2A. Austin Avsec and Vann Kavals each added 12 and Patrick Altmar and Jake Johnson chipped in 10 apiece. Khai Hudson and Nathan Schwartz scored 10 points each for Western Beaver (2-16, 0-11).

Peters Township 67, Trinity 54 – Dylan Donovan scored 23 points, Lucas Rost dropped 20 and Nick McCullough finished with 10 as Peters Township (12-5, 6-3) defeated Trinity (8-8, 3-7) in Section 3-5A. Jacob Dunkle put up 22 and Jonah Williamson produced 20 for the Hillers.

Penn Hills 70, Shaler 61 – Amon Hawthorne scored 20 points and Calix Clark followed with 18 as Penn Hills (9-7, 9-1) defeated Shaler (7-11, 4-5) in Section 2-5A. Jordan Epps dropped 22 and Deron Nixon added 11 points for the Titans.

Pine-Richland 65, North Hills 58 (OT) – Grant Spacciapolli led Pine-Richland (6-12, 4-7) with 22 points, Alexander Kastner followed with 21 and Emery Moye added 10 for the Rams in a Section 1-6A win. Zach Pollaro scored 33 points and Nathan Schanbacher had 13 for North Hills (6-13, 5-6).

Serra Catholic 74, Monessen 55 – Tyler Sapida and Owen Dumbroski scored 16 points apiece and Mark Johnson added 15 to lead Serra Catholic (15-2, 6-1) to a Section 2-A win. TyVaughn Kershaw scored 20 points and Rodney Johnson had 13 for Monessen (9-6, 3-4).

Seton LaSalle 66, Steel Valley 32 – Noah Sear scored 15 points and Keenu Brooks had 14 for Seton LaSalle (7-10, 4-3) in a Section 3-3A win. Nate Yuhas scored 10 points for Steel Valley (3-13, 1-5).

Shady Side Academy 55, South Park 54 – Seamus Riordan scored 14 points, Landon Mauser added 12, Paul Benec followed with 11 and Mark Bence had 10 for Shady Side Academy (5-12, 3-4) in a Section 3-3A win. Luke Scarff led all scorers with 20 points and Cooper Henderson put up 14 for South Park (12-5, 5-2).

South Allegheny 59, Apollo-Ridge 38 – Cam Epps and Drew Cook each scored 17 points to lead South Allegheny (14-2, 5-0) to a Section 3-3A victory. Josh Jackowski scored 11 for the Gladiators. Zane Beatty put up 14 to pace Apollo-Ridge (5-13, 1-6).

Southmoreland 77, Ligonier Valley 70 – Brady Sherbondy dropped 21 points, Noah Felentzer added 19, Stanley Chapman scored 16 and Elliot Premus contributed 14 for Southmoreland (14-4, 7-0) in a Section 4-3A win over Ligonier Valley (9-8, 3-3). Mike Wisniewski led all scorers with 25 points, Brian Wisniewski added 13, John Jablunovsky followed with 12 and Simon Pope had 10 for the Rams.

Summit Academy 87, Avella 76 – Kyzir Rowan led with 27 points, Robert Young followed with 20 and Jamir Dunn added 17 to push Summit Academy (7-6, 4-3) to a Section 1-A win. Brayden Fuller scored 21 points and Eli Maidment and Bryce Wright had 11 points apiece for Avella (8-9, 1-5).

Thomas Jefferson 78, Ringgold 47 – Nicholas Trklja scored 21 points, Kane Eggerton had 16 and Noah Kaszer added 15 to lead Thomas Jefferson (9-9, 4-5) to a Section 3-5A win. Demetri Lowe scored 10 points for Ringgold (4-11, 0-7).

Uniontown 79, McKeesport 53 – Notorious Groom led all scorers with 23 points and Calvin Winfrey followed with 20 to lead Uniontown (16-3, 11-0) to a Section 1-5A win over McKeesport (7-12, 4-7). Kelan Milsom scored 19 and Isaac Ellsworth had 10 for the Red Raiders. Matt Sebelia finished with 14 and Lamont Perkins chipped in 10 for the Tigers.

Upper St. Clair 63, Connellsville 36 – Gianni Disora, Kaamil Jackson, Tyler Robbins and Ryan Robbins all scored 10 points apiece as Upper St. Clair (18-1, 11-0) cruised to a Section 2-6A victory. Tyler Burkus led Connellsville (3-15, 0-11) with nine points.

Waynesburg 45, Charleroi 43 – Austin Surber scored 14 points for Waynesburg (6-9, 5-1) in a Section 4-3A win. Jackson Keranko scored 13 points and Noah Pletcher had 12 for Charleroi (8-10, 2-5).

West Greene 45, Jefferson-Morgan 39 – Lane Allison scored 18 points to lead West Greene (10-7, 8-3) to a Section 3-2A win. Jeremiah Robertson scored 14 points for Jefferson-Morgan (12-6, 8-3).

West Mifflin 72, Derry 63 – Daven Reynolds led with 28 points, Jose Perez had 12 and Julian Dewberry added 10 to push West Mifflin (6-12, 5-4) to a Section 3-4A win. Brayden Robinson scored 31 points and Stanley Rajkovich had 13 for Derry (10-8, 7-3).

Winchester Thurston 67, Propel Braddock Hills 37 – Anthony Pipkin produced 21 points, Matt Southers added 17 and Mike Hammerling finished with 15 for Winchester Thurston (11-5, 6-3) in a Section 2-2A win. Elijah Bugsy Thornton had nine to lead Propel Braddock Hills (2-17, 0-10).

Girls basketball

Allderdice 80, Westinghouse 24 – Led by 24 points from Bailey White, 20 from Peyton Lynch and 12 from Rhyan Sledge, Allderdice (13-5, 6-0) picked up a City League win. Ajah Malloy led Westinghouse (4-12, 0-6) with 12 points.

Baldwin 60, Albert Gallatin 30 – Lynsey Bernotas scored 16 points and Julianne Ott added 12 to help Baldwin (10-8, 5-4) to a Section 4-5A win. Grayce Panos scored 12 for Albert Gallatin (7-9, 1-8).

Brashear 41, Carrick 38 – Jocelyn Fisher scored 18 points to pace Carrick (7-9, 2-4) in a City League loss to Brashear (5-4, 3-3).

Brownsville 61, Waynesburg 29 – Skyler Gates scored 17 points and Zhariah Reed had 15 for Brownsville (11-7, 4-5) in a Section3-3A win. Mya Smith scored 10 points for Waynesburg (8-8, 3-5).

Carmichaels 45, Bentworth 28 – Ali Jacobs scored 16 points and Carmichaels (2-15, 2-5) rallied from a three-point halftime deficit with a big second half in a Section 3-2A win. Avery Voithofer added 11 and Joselyn Carter had 10 for the Mighty Mikes. Bella Moyer scored 10 for Bentworth (7-11, 3-4).

Clairton 83, California 56 – Iyanna Wade scored 40 points and Jamiya Child and Karma Fuqua added 17 points apiece to lead Clairton (11-4) to a nonsection win. Leah Hartley scored 17 points and Olivia Gibson had 14 for California (7-6).

Derry 66, Ligonier Valley 57 – Jane Huss went off for 37 points to lead Derry (4-13) to a nonsection win. Adleigh Myers scored 18, Bella Pacienza added 13, Jada Pope had 12 and Sydnee Foust finished with 11 for Ligonier Valley (4-12).

Geibel Catholic 64, East Allegheny 33 – Emma Larkin put up 33 points and Mallory Clemmer added 19 as Geibel Catholic (18-1) rolled to a nonsection win against East Allegheny (1-14). Dezlyn Clary scored 13 and Ronniya Lawrence finished with 10 for the Wildcats.

Greensburg Central Catholic 56, South Allegheny 8 – Erica Gribble scored 23 points, Jayla Peterson followed with 12 and Erica Rodriguez had 11 to lead Greensburg Central Catholic (13-3, 8-1) past South Allegheny (3-14, 3-7) in Section 2-3A.

Knoch 43, Valley 35 – Neah Ewing led with 20 points and four 3-pointers for Knoch (9-9, 8-3) in a Section 1-4A win. Trinity Ingram scored 15 points and Janelle Norman had 10 for Valley (2-16, 1-10).

Latrobe 38, Kiski Area 28 – Carley Berk scored 20 points to lead Latrobe (10-7, 6-3) past Kiski Area (9-8, 3-6) in Section 2-5A.

Peters Township 57, Trinity 33 – Natalie Wetzel led all scorers with 28 points and Taylor McCullough contributed 10 for Peters Township (15-2, 8-0) in a Section 4-5A victory. Sutton Williamson scored 18 points and Bentley Layhue added 10 for Trinity (8-8, 3-7).

Pittsburgh Christian Academy 53, Cheswick Christian Academy 29 – Dannah Sebelia scored 20 points to lead Pittsburgh Christian Academy in the Southwestern Christian Athletic Conference. Abby Louis led Cheswick Christian with 14.

West Greene 37, Mapletown 30 – Kendra Tharp dropped 13 points and Madelyn Roberts added 11 as West Greene (11-6, 5-5) topped Mapletown (3-16, 1-10) in Section 2-A. Nicole Barrera had 13 for the Maples.

Hockey

Canon-McMillan 4, Bishop McCort 2 – Brenden Lomago scored twice while Luka Grkman and Grayson Costa each added a goal for Canon-McMillan (4-10-0-1-1) in a Class 2A win. Mikaels Vasilevskis and Marcus Anderson scored for Bishop McCort (6-9-0-0-1).

Greensburg Salem 5, McDowell 3 – With the game tied 3-3 with less than two minutes left, Jeremiah Faulk scored the game-winning power-play goal to lift Greensburg Salem (6-10-1) to a Class A win. Jake Fink scored two goals, including an empty netter, and Ace Klingensmith and Bryce Ferace each added a goal for Greensburg Salem. Wendall Natividad, Harrison Parra and Dylan Payne scored for McDowell (5-11).

Meadville 12, Kiski Area 0 – Robert Mahoney scored five goals and had two assists while Ryan Yunik had four goals to power Meadville (7-8-1) to a Class A win. Nick Engles had a pair of goals and Cole Sobolewski added a goal while Max Benninger preserved the shutout for the Bulldogs.
