Zion Moore scored 37 points to become the 39th boys basketball player in WPIAL history to hit the 2,000-point mark, leading Belle Vernon to a 76-49 win over East Allegheny in Section 3-4A on Friday night.

Trevor Kovatch added 11 for the Leopards (17-4, 10-1). Jayden Patterson scored 25 for East Allegheny (5-14, 2-8).

Aliquippa 89, New Brighton 17 – Joshua Pratt dropped 19 points, Qa’lil Goode added 17, Antonio Reddic followed with 16 and Rasaun Banks contributed 15 as Aliquippa (14-3, 10-0) routed New Brighton (5-11, 4-6) in Section 1-3A.

Allderdice 46, Obama Academy 38 – Lukas Stead put up 17 points and Asher Schwartz tallied 11 in a City League win for Allderdice (10-9, 7-0), giving coach Devin Crummie his 100th victory. Naron Jackson dropped 17 points for Obama Academy (7-7, 5-2).

Aquinas Academy 55, Beaver County Christian 21 – Jake Guillen led all scorers with 18 points, David Zaharko produced 13, Sam Duer finished with 12 and Jonah Burchill had 10 for Aquinas Academy (16-3, 7-1) in a Section 1-A win. Nick Necaster led Beaver County Christian (10-7, 3-5) with seven points.

Avonworth 56, Central Valley 42 – Rowan Carmichael rattled off 26 points and Noah Goetz finished with 13 as Avonworth (15-3, 7-1) won a Section 2-4A contest. Isaiah Jeter drained six 3-pointers and finished with 22 points to lead Central Valley (15-4, 5-3).

Baldwin 72, Ringgold 41 – Evan Golvash produced 15 points, Nathan Wesling added 13 and Jaden Duttine chipped in with 11 for Baldwin (18-1, 9-1) in a Section 3-5A. Demetri Lowe led all scorers with 20 points and Dennis Hawkins contributed 10 for Ringgold (4-12, 0-8).

Beaver 78, Ambridge 58 – Brady Mayo scored a game-high 34 points and Micah Pupi tallied 13 in a Section 2-4A win for Beaver (16-4, 6-2). Jared Astorino dropped 23 points and Adam Fernandez put up 19 for Ambridge (4-13, 0-7).

Blackhawk 80, Lincoln Park 67 – Tyler Heckathorn lit up the scoreboard with 34 points, Justin Shanor dropped 25 and Carter Davis contributed 14 as Blackhawk (6-12, 3-8) beat Lincoln Park (2-16, 0-9) in Section 4-5A. Damar Johnson scored 16 points while Antonio Goodman and Mason Rowan had 13 points apiece for the Leopards.

Bishop Canevin 76, Carlynton 39 – Jackson Maddix scored 23 points and Damar Olds added 21 to lead Bishop Canevin (10-8, 8-0) to a Section 2-3A win. Drew Allen added 12 and Raukeem Hawkins had 10 for the Crusaders. Devonte Dean led Carlynton (8-11, 3-5) with 24 points.

Brashear 76, Westinghouse 58 – Mike Lee scored 24 points, Nasir Thomas added 18 and Jayden Atkins had 15 to power Brashear (5-13, 2-5) in the City League. Tommy Moses scored 14 and Amir Roberts added 12 for Westinghouse (2-11, 2-5).

Brentwood 69, Leechburg 30 – Forrest Betz racked up 30 points to lead Brentwood (8-10, 5-5) to a Section 2-2A victory. Colton Rosing and X’havier Nunez each had 11 for Brentwood. Brady Rollinger scored 13 points and Chase Henry added 10 for Leechburg (3-16, 2-8).

Butler 72, Seneca Valley 57 – Andrew Gettinger and Stainton Forbes scored 19 points apiece, Tayt Lucas put up 18 and Ayden Andrews had 12 in a Section 1-6A in for Butler (13-6, 6-6). Owen Congdon put up 19 points, Tyler Pepin added 16 and Andrew Omastis finished with 12 for Seneca Valley (11-9, 8-4).

Canon-McMillan 71, Hempfield 59 – Michael Detrich scored 32 points, Dylan Kelly added 13 and Canon-McMillan (4-15, 2-10) won a Section 2-6A game that was tied at halftime. Daniel Husenits scored 27 and Jack Kopas had 13 for Hempfield (8-11, 3-9).

Carmichaels 64, Mapletown 40 – Robbie Wilson-Jones led all scorers with 21 points and Colin Andrew added 12 for Carmichaels (5-13, 4-8) in a Section 3-2A win. Lucas Stevenson scored 15 points and Tyler Howard chipped in 12 for Mapletown (0-17, 0-11).

Carrick 81, Perry 48 – Brayden Fisher hit for 38 points to lead Carrick (9-8, 3-3) in a City League win. Kelenn Ward added 19 and Stephon Malloy had 10 for the Raiders. Chaz Jackson and De’Onte Herring scored 12 and Keith Johnson added 10 for Perry (1-12, 1-5).

Central Catholic 65, Norwin 50 – Christian Williams dropped 18 points, Calvin Vento scored 17 and Enzo Khalil finished with 10 in a Section 2-6A win for Central Catholic (12-6, 9-3) over Norwin (9-10, 5-7). Chris McKnight scored 10 points to pace the Knights.

Charleroi 68, Mt. Pleasant 51 – Braeden Todaro led all scorers with 16 points, Noah Pletcher added 12 and Jackson Keranko and Amaru Staub contributed 11 points apiece as Charleroi (9-10, 3-5) beat Mt. Pleasant (0-20, 0-8) in Section 4-3A. Isaiah Taylor and Jonah Townsend put up 11 points apiece for the Vikings.

Chartiers-Houston 57, Beth-Center 20 – Justus Buckingham put up 15 points, Aaron Walsh tallied 13 and Jake Perchinsky finished with 10 in a Section 3-2A win for Chartiers-Houston (17-2, 11-1) over Beth-Center (8-12, 5-7).

Cornell 65, Avella 60 – Santana Lee put up 20 points, Edmundo Benitez followed with 16 and Walter Clarit deposited 12 as Cornell (3-16, 1-7) beat Avella (8-11, 0-7) in Section 1-A. Bryce Wright led all scorers with 26 points, Cameron Ullom tallied 12 and Rylan Bell had 11 for the Eagles.

Derry 56, Yough 26 – Stanley Rajkovich and John Wasnick scored 16 points apiece to lead Derry (11-8, 8-3) to a Section 3-4A victory. Charlie Quinn had 10 points for Yough (1-19, 0-10).

Elizabeth Forward 58, West Mifflin 54 – Daniel Spence scored 18 points, James Gile followed with 17 and Tyler Basic added 14 as Elizabeth Forward (15-4, 8-2) beat West Mifflin (6-13, 5-5) in Section 3-4A. Daven Reynolds put up 18 points and James Rideout chipped in 10 for the Titans.

Fox Chapel 53, North Hills 48 – John Rehak scored a career-high 23 points and added 10 rebounds to lead Fox Chapel (15-4, 10-2) to a Section 1-6A win. Asher White added 16 for the Foxes. Zach Pollaro scored 20, Nathan Schanbacher had 15 and Jackson Long finished with 11 for North Hills (6-14, 5-7).

Frazier 66, California 58 (OT) – Kolby Stewart produced 23 points, Conlan Higbee finished with 17 and Dailan McManus had 15 as Frazier (4-15, 2-10) defeated California (2-15, 0-11) in Section 1-2A. Jacob Ziolecki dropped 28 points for the Trojans.

Greensburg Central Catholic 65, Riverview 34 – AJ Tarpley scored 18 points, Brandon Martin added 12 and Brady O’Rourke finished with 11 to lead Greensburg Central Catholic (17-2, 11-0) to a Section 1-2A win. Levi Roupas and Matt Orbin scored eight points each for Riverview (7-12, 5-7).

Hopewell 60, Quaker Valley 58 – James Armstrong put up 18 points, Zach Kovell added 13 and Thomas Pipkins III finished with 11 as Hopewell (8-11, 2-6) narrowly defeated Quaker Valley (13-5, 4-4) in Section 2-4A to give coach Mark D’Alessandris his 100th victory. Sam Chapman led all scorers with 22 points, Harrison Kerley contributed 12 and Nic Cohen had 10 for the Quakers.

Indiana 59, Armstrong 55 (OT) – Stanford Webb scored 16 points, Will Olsen added 13 and Jaden Petrovich had 12 as Indiana (7-12, 4-7) defeated Armstrong (5-14, 0-11) in Section 2-5A. Jaydon Oliver and Quinton Olsen scored 15 points apiece and Jacob Szep added 12 for the River Hawks.

Jeannette 54, Springdale 39 – Markus McGowan scored 19 points and Jayce Powell added 13 to send Jeannette (16-1, 9-1) to a Section 1-2A win. Robby Simmen and John Duku scored 11 apiece for Springdale (11-7, 5-6).

Jefferson-Morgan 45, Fort Cherry 44 – Jeremiah Roberston put up 12 points, Jase Bedilion followed with 11 and Dayten Marion chipped in with 10 for Jefferson-Morgan (13-6, 9-3) in a Section 3-2A win. Shane Cornali produced 24 points for Fort Cherry (9-8, 7-4).

Keystone Oaks 55, McGuffey 47 – Erond Jakupi made four 3-pointers and finished with 19 points and Joseph Colton added 12 points as Keystone Oaks (14-5, 6-2) bested McGuffey (13-6, 4-4) in Section 2-3A. Ayden Cunningham put up 19 points and Sam Stout had 12 for the Highlanders.

Kiski Area 70, Shaler 39 – Colin Keller hit five 3-pointers and finished with 17 points to lead Kiski Area (11-6, 9-1) to a Section 2-5A win. Amaree Gonzalez added 14 and Tyler McDermott had 10 for the Cavaliers. Jordan Epps led Shaler (7-12, 4-6) with 15 points.

Laurel Highlands 51, Albert Gallatin 47 – Luke Martin scored 13 points and Antwan Black and Aiden Black added 11 points each to lead Laurel Highlands (5-14, 2-10) to a Section 3-4A win. JJ Jackson scored 23 and Ethan Kennedy had 14 for Albert Gallatin (7-12, 2-10).

Ligonier Valley 75, Brownsville 65 – Parker Hollick scored 22 points to lead four players in double figures for Ligonier Valley (11-8, 5-3) in a Section 4-3A win over Brownsville (4-14, 2-6). Michael Wisniewski added 18, Brian Wisniewski 12 and Michael Vargulish-Gravish 10 for the Rams.

Mohawk 63, Beaver Falls 50 – Bobby Fadden put up 26 points, Joey Nail added 16 and Drew Wrona finished with 13 in a Section 1-3A win for Mohawk (15-4, 8-1). Jason Frank scored 14 points and Dajaun Flenory added 13 for Beaver Falls (1-17, 1-9).

Monessen 76, Environmental Charter 49 – Devontae Robinson poured in 22 points, Rodney Johnson added 16 and TyVaughn Kershaw scored 11 to power Monessen (11-6, 4-4) to a Section 2-A win. Tobias Howard put up 11 points while Caleb Dalton and Tyler Hurst each scored 10 for Environmental Charter (0-13, 0-8).

Montour 50, West Allegheny 41 – Ama Sow produced 17 points, Kaleb Platz finished with 15 and Colton Straight added 13 to lead Montour (17-1, 11-0) to a Section 4-5A win. Jonah Buglak dropped 17 points for West Allegheny (7-12, 2-8).

Moon 64, Mars 54 – Amir Turner and Braeden Stuart each scored 15 points to pace Moon (16-4, 7-3) in a Section 4-5A win. Michael Santicola scored 14 points and Carter Tumulty added 11 for the Tigers. Drew Navetta produced 19 points and Austin Campbell finished with 15 for Mars (11-9, 5-5).

Mt. Lebanon 74, Connellsville 27 – Liam Sheely went off for 33 points while Dane Barber and Sam Deibert each scored 12 as Mt. Lebanon (12-6, 8-4) rolled to a Section 2-6A win. Rocco Farrell and Jayden Mickens scored eight points apiece for Connellsville (3-16, 0-12).

Nazareth Prep 53, Summit Academy 36 – Will Evans had a triple-double with 13 points, 10 rebounds and 10 blocks and Leon Harrison scored 18 points for Nazareth Prep (14-4, 8-0) in a Section 1-A victory. Ky’zir Rowan put up 16 points and Quaran Joiner finished with 10 for Summit Academy (7-7, 4-4).

Neighborhood Academy 80, Geibel Catholic 37 – Courtney Wallace had a triple-double with 23 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists, Kedron Gilmore followed with 22 points and Shamar Simpson had 15 as Neighborhood Academy (19-1, 8-0) won in Section 2-A. Evan Strimel scored 14 points and Gary Tarbuk chipped in with 11 for Geibel Catholic (11-8, 3-5).

Neshannock 89, Western Beaver 32 – David Kwiat went off for 48 points, hitting six 3-pointers, to lead Neshannock (15-2, 10-1) to a Section 4-2A win. Nathan Schwartz led Western Beaver (2-17, 0-12) with 32 points.

New Castle 55, Pine-Richland 47 – Damian Harrison finished with 19 points while Kai Cox scored 13 points and Ralphie Blundo added 11 for New Castle (15-3, 9-3) in a Section 1-6A. Grant Spacciapolli led all scorers with 20 points for Pine-Richland (6-13, 4-8).

North Catholic 69, Highlands 52 – Jason Fredericks scored 20 points and Jude Rottmann followed with 17, including five 3-pointers, to lead North Catholic (14-5, 9-1) to a Section 1-4A victory. Carmine LaCava scored 18, Troy Bielak had 16 and Preston Foster contributed 10 for Highlands (4-13, 3-7).

Northgate 63, Winchester Thurston 32 – Tylan Daniels scored 14 points and Rob McKinley finished with 13 for Northgate (10-7, 7-1) in a Section 2-2A win. Michael Hammerling produced 11 points for Winchester Thurston (13-5, 6-3).

Penn Hills 52, Plum 45 – Amon Hawthorne hit for 22 points to boost Penn Hills (10-8, 10-1) in a Section 2-5A victory. Max Grice scored 17 for Plum (8-10, 4-6).

Penn-Trafford 62, McKeesport 44 – Zach Feldman and Brayden Stone scored 12 points apiece and Tyler Anthony chipped in 10 to lead Penn-Trafford (11-8, 7-5) in Section 1-5A. Lamont Perkins scored 14 and Valdez Stuvaints added 10 for McKeesport (7-13, 4-8).

Peters Township 53, South Fayette 47 – Dylan Donovan scored 21 points to power Peters Township (13-5, 7-3) in a battle of playoff teams in Section 3-5A. Gavin Orosz scored 16 and Tyson Wright had 13 for South Fayette (13-7, 8-3).

Riverside 46, Freedom 33 – Led by Logan Young’s 13 points and Will Sullivan’s 12, Riverside (8-13, 3-8) beat Freedom (1-15, 1-7) in Section 1-3A. Justin Shegog scored 14 to lead the Bulldogs.

Serra Catholic 75, St. Joseph 30 – Owen Dumbroski scored 22 points while Brayden Graham and Matt McNeal scored nine points apiece as Serra Catholic (16-2, 7-1) won in Section 2-A win. Gabe Maltese had nine points to pace St. Joseph (7-12, 2-6).

Shady Side Academy 60, Apollo-Ridge 35 – Seamus Riordan scored 21 points to send Shady Side Academy (6-12, 4-4) to a Section 3-3A win. Paul Benec added 13 and Cam Mallory had 11 for the Bulldogs. Zane Beatty led Apollo-Ridge (5-14, 1-7) with 23 points.

South Allegheny 55, Seton LaSalle 47 – Drew Cook dropped 25 points and Cam Epps sank four 3-pointers and finished with 16 points as South Allegheny (16-2, 7-0) defeated Seton LaSalle (7-11, 4-4) in Section 3-3A. Patrick Weldon scored 21 points and Ryan Marini added 10 for the Rebels.

South Side 56, Laurel 36 – Carter Wilson put up 21 points, Andrew Corfield scored 15 and Mateja Pavlovich added 12 for South Side (12-7, 6-5) in a Section 4-2A win. Jayden Iorio led all scorers with 23 points, Luca Santini added 18 and Vern Sipe had 11 for Laurel (9-11, 3-9).

Union 70, Rochester 42 – Led by five 3-pointers and 19 points from Landon Eckert and four 3s and 18 points from Lucas Stanley, Union (15-5, 9-3) defeated Rochester (5-14, 2-10) in Section 4-2A. Jamel Mitchell added 10 points for the Scotties. Nate Bills scored 15 points to lead the Rams.

Uniontown 75, Gateway 60 – Calvin Winfrey put up 21 points, Notorious Grooms finished with 19, Isaac Ellsworth added 17 and Kelan Milsom contributed 14 in a Section 1-5A win for Uniontown (17-3, 12-0). Paul Nnacho led all scorers with 22 points and Mykel Bruce-McCrommon had 18 for Gateway (10-8, 8-4).

Woodland Hills 54, North Allegheny 52 – Scoop Smith led all scorers with 25 points and Donshae Mosley added 13 for Woodland Hills (8-11, 4-8) in a Section 1-6A win. Carter Melzer scored 15 points and Justin Statler finished with 10 for North Allegheny (7-12, 2-10).

Allderdice 78, Obama Academy 42 – Bailey White went off for 33 points, Peyton Lynch put up 23 and Rhyan Sledge deposited 17 for Allderdice (14-5, 7-0) in a City League win. Taylor Phillips scored 19 points and Nia Benjamin added 10 for Obama Academy (6-9, 5-2).

Canon-McMillan 48, Hempfield 47 (OT) – Lauren Borella scored 19 points, Madison Clair added 15 and Canon-McMillan (11-7, 5-3) won in overtime to clinch a playoff berth in Section 2-6A. Allie Cervola scored 20 points and Mads Pevarnik contributed 11 for Hempfield (10-9, 2-6).

Greensburg Central Catholic 83, South Allegheny 10 – Erica Gribble put up 28 points and Jayla Peterson followed with 13 as Greensburg Central Catholic (15-3, 10-1) defeated South Allegheny (4-14, 4-7) in Section 2-3A.

Mars 54, Moon 53 (OT) – Mya Moore sank the game-winning free throw with 10 seconds left to seal a Section 3-5A win for Mars (11-8, 5-5) over Moon (10-7, 5-5). Alexis Cashdollar and Carmella McDole each scored 16 points to lead the Fightin’ Planets. Jaedin Griggs scored 26 for the Tigers.

North Allegheny 56, Woodland Hills 26 – Vange Balouris dropped 21 points and Rosalia Varlotta contributed 18 for North Allegheny (7-10, 4-4) in a Section 1-6A win. Kaliena Earl-Hayden led Woodland Hills (5-11, 0-8) with 12 points.

North Catholic 59, Freeport 24 – Led by 12 points from Brady Wehner, 11 from Sam Weir and 10 from Sarah Loughry, North Catholic (14-5, 9-1) picked up a Section 1-4A win. Lilly Holloway scored eight to lead Freeport (5-13, 2-8).

Pine-Richland 56, North Hills 43 – Cate Gentile scored 19 points, Rebekah Shaffer added 12 and Zoe Cook finished with 11 as Pine-Richland (6-12, 5-2) defeated North HIlls (6-13, 2-6) in Section 1-6A. Delaney Amato had 13, Gia Minton followed with 12 and Zoe Devlin finished with 10 for the Indians.

Seneca Valley 57, Butler 53 – Gracie Cato scored 15 points and Natalie Hambly added 14 as Seneca Valley (13-5, 8-0) beat Butler (9-9, 4-4) in Section 1-6A. Amelia McMichael scored 22 points and achieved 1,000 points for her career to lead the Golden Tornado.

Shaler 48, Gateway 10 – Reese Smetanka had a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds as Shaler (17-2, 8-1) defeated gateway (0-15, 0-9) in Section 1-5A.

Thomas Jefferson 60, Bethel Park 53 – Maggie Spell scored 20 points and Emma Altivilla finished with 13 to lead Thomas Jefferson (17-2, 9-1) in a Section 4-5A win. Sadie Orie finished with 21 points, Ella Sabatos followed with 16 and Fiona Oniel had 13 for Bethel Park (9-9, 5-4).

St. Joseph 64, Western Beaver 42 – Gia Richter scored 12 points to hit the 1,000 mark for her career, Bella Bartovic had 19 and Kasey Cienik followed with 16 to lead St. Joseph (13-6, 9-3) to a Section 1-A win. Liz Squicquero scored 22 and Taraji Backur had 12 for Western Beaver (4-15, 2-10).

West Allegheny 63, Montour 57 – Emma Ruperto hit four 3-pointers and scored 22 points to lead West Allegheny (10-9, 3-7) to a Section 3-5A win. Ella Smith added 13 and Alaina Holtz had 10 for West A. Abigail Cleary scored 18 points, Sofia Brandy hit five 3-pointers for 15 points and Zoe Woessner finished with 12 for Montour (8-11, 3-8).
