Haylie Lamonde scored 16 points as South Fayette grabbed sole possession of first place in Section 3-5A girls basketball with a 72-41 victory over Chartiers Valley on Thursday night.
Juliette Leroux had 13 points and Lailah Wright added 11 for the Lions (13-1, 6-0). Emma Reynolds scored 12 points for the Colts (8-5, 4-1).
Aquinas Academy 63, Eden Christian 28 – Tess Duer and Katie Tarquinio scored 11 points apiece to lead Aquinas Academy (6-4, 4-1) to a Section 1-A win. Hannah Wallace scored 16 points for Eden Christian (3-7, 2-4).
Beaver 49, Lincoln Park 31 – Annsley Baker put up 19 points, Ava Wright added 11 and Samantha Springman chipped in with 10 for Beaver (10-2, 4-1) in a Section 2-4A victory. Abby Januzzi scored 14 points for Lincoln Park (2-6, 0-2).
Belle Vernon 41, Mt. Pleasant 18 – Saylor Lee scored 13 points and Aubrey Brown added 11 for Belle Vernon (5-8, 3-3) in a Section 3-4A win. Raleigh Drzal had 11 for Mt. Pleasant (1-11, 1-5).
Beth-Center 49, Bentworth 35 – Callie Dorsey led all scorers with 14 points and Violet Trump contributed 11 as Beth-Center (8-5, 3-1) beat Bentworth (6-5, 2-1) in Section 3-2A. Bella Moyer scored 10 points and had eight rebounds to pace the Bearcats.
Bishop Canevin 54, Avella 37 – Isabella Sysak scored 26 points and Kya Cooley added 13 to lead Bishop Canevin (6-4, 2-3) to a Section 2-A win. Ava Frank scored 20 points and Syd Strope had 10 for Avella (6-7, 2-4).
Blackhawk 62, Hampton 22 – Aubree Hupp scored 18 points, Andrea Kinger had 12 and Alivia Rabick and Mia Sheesley added 10 points apiece to lead Blackhawk (11-2, 5-0) to a Section 2-4A win. Harper Gibbons scored nine points for Hampton (8-4, 4-1).
Burrell 54, Valley 36 – Casey Brancato scored 13 points, Jules Fisher followed with 12 and McKenna Miller added 10 as Burrell (9-4, 4-2) beat Valley (1-12, 0-6) in Section 1-4A. Janelle Norman dropped 22 to power the Vikings.
California 55, Jefferson-Morgan 37 – Hayley Gibson led all scorers with 20 points and Olivia Gibson added 10 as California (5-3, 2-1) defeated Jefferson-Morgan (1-11, 0-3) in Section 3-2A. Ava Wood put up 19 and Leighana Gooden followed with 12 for the Rockets.
Chartiers-Houston 58, Carmichaels 17 – Ava Capozzoli scored 19 points, Ava Kolovich had 16 and Allison Wingard added 14 for Chartiers-Houston (9-1, 3-0) in a Section 3-2A win. Ke’lani Chun scored six points for Carmichaels (0-12, 0-4).
Elizabeth Forward 56, Yough 21 – Michelle Jellison, Kaelynn Settles and Chloe Zombek scored 13 points apiece for Elizabeth Forward (8-3, 5-0) in a Section 3-4A win. Hailey Bock and Carly Fitzgerald scored six points apiece for Yough (8-4, 3-2).
Fort Cherry 68, Northgate 3 – Brooke Cornali scored 21 points and Jazlyn Martino had 11 for Fort Cherry (11-2, 4-0) in a Section 2-2A win over Northgate (0-12, 0-3).
Franklin Regional 63, Armstrong 36 – Madison DeRiggi dropped 19 points, Chloe Pucka finished with 11 and Alyssa Bridges followed with 10 to lead Franklin Regional (8-5, 5-0) to a Section 1-5A win. Isabella Yancy scored nine points to lead Armstrong (2-10, 1-5).
Highlands 63, Freeport 53 – Tyarah Woody led all scorers with 27 points while Bella Bonnett and Jasmine Owen each scored 11 as Highlands (3-9, 2-4) defeated Freeport (3-10, 2-4) in Section 1-4A. Jaisa Gaillot (18), Nia DiSanti (16) and Lilly Holloway (13) scored double figures for the Yellowjackets.
Geibel Catholic 50, Monessen 25 – Emma Larkin scored 26 points and Mallory Clemmer finished with 14 as Geibel Catholic (11-1, 4-1) doubled up Monessen (3-7, 1-5) in Section 2-A. Madison Johnson had 13 points and Ma’Jaziah Carter added 12 for the Greyhounds.
Indiana 48, West Mifflin 27 – Julia Antonucci scored 12 points and Emily Betsinger added nine to lead Indiana (11-2, 5-0) to a Section 2-5A win. Savaughn Wimbs scored 17 points for West Mifflin (2-8, 0-5).
Keystone Oaks 48, Waynesburg 38 – Laney Wagner dropped 24 points and sank five 3-pointers to power Keystone Oaks (9-1, 3-1) to a Section 3-3A victory. Avery Davis scored 22 points to lead Waynesburg (6-5, 2-3).
Latrobe 54, Greensburg Salem 46 – Maggie Maiers dropped 20 points and Brianna Havrilla made five 3-pointers and finished with 17 points to boost Latrobe (8-6, 4-2) past Greensburg Salem (7-6, 1-4) in Section 2-5A. Mya Heasley and Vienna Jevicky scored 12 points apiece for the Golden Lions.

McGuffey 57, Washington 50 – Taylor Schumacher led with 31 points and Lexi Ewig added nine to push McGuffey (9-4, 4-1) to a Section 3-3A win. Olivia Woods scored 23 points, Kayli Winn had 12 and Kyndra Winn added 10 for Washington (4-8, 1-4).

Oakland Catholic 46, Derry 19 – Josie Fontana led all scorers with 10 points while Zephania Troxler-Scott and Savanna Daye each scored eight as Oakland Catholic (9-2, 5-1) defeated Derry (3-7, 1-4) in Section 1-4A. Kylee Metcalfe scored seven to lead the Trojans.

Shaler 62, Fox Chapel 45 – Reese Smetanka hit for 22 points to lead Shaler (11-1, 4-0) to a Section 1-5A victory. Bayleigh Perez added 15 points and Olivia Gieraltowski had 13 for the Titans. South Park 66, Southmoreland 16 – Addy Kerr scored 16 points and Mika Contakos chipped in 14 for South Park (8-2, 5-0) in Section 3-4A. Ashley Seder led Southmoreland (3-10, 1-5) with seven points.

Trinity 48, Albert Gallatin 43 – Kimari Behrens scored 17 points and Riley Venick added 12 to lead Trinity (7-4, 2-3) to a Section 4-5A win. Mya Glisan scored 19 points and Grayce Panos had 11 for Albert Gallatin (4-7, 0-6).
Union 66, Leechburg 15 – Olivia Benedict scored 14 points to lead Union (11-0, 5-0) to a Section 1-A win. Addison Nogay added 11 and Kylie Fruhstorfer and Mia Preuhs each had 10 for the Scotties. Josalyn Collini led Leechburg (0-10, 0-5) with eight points.
Upper St. Clair 75, Hempfield 55 – Meredith Huzjak scored 23 points, Rylee Kalocay had 21 and Grace Howell added 15 to lead Upper St. Clair (8-2, 3-0) to a Section 2-6A win. Mads Pevarnik scored 15 points and Ava Shipman had 11 for Hempfield (7-5, 1-3).
Winchester Thurston 62, Jeannette 20 – Sky Still put up 18 points and DaShae Cochran followed with 16 for Winchester (9-2, 4-0) in a Section 4-2A. Navarrah Smith scored eight points for Jeannette (4-7, 0-3).

Chartiers-Houston 61, Beth-Center 45 – Nate Gregory scored 20 points, Justus Buckingham added 15 and Aaron Walsh and Paul Williamson each scored 10 as Chartiers-Houston (10-2, 4-1) defeated Beth-Center (6-5, 3-2) in Section 3-2A. Jason Zellie put up 15, Parker Amos added 12 and Brayden Hull finished with 11 points for the Bulldogs.
Imani Christian 79, Mt. Lebanon 65 – RJ Sledge scored 33 points, surpassing the 1,000-point mark for his career, to lead Imani Christian (7-4, 5-1) to a Section 2-6A win. Markus Williams followed with 19 and Donovan Gordon added 11 for the Saints. Liam Sheeley scored 21 points and Sam Deibert had 19 for Mt. Lebanon (7-5, 3-3).

Avonworth 6, North Hills 4 – Conner Ralston had two goals and two assists and Linus Jesionowski also scored twice to lead Avonworth (11-3-1) in Class A. Austin Dzadovsky added a goal and two assists. Jonathan Trosky scored twice and Tobias Kiger had a goal and an assist for North Hills (7-7).
Carrick 6, Knoch 3 – Chris Tomassi scored a hat trick and had an assist, Ethan Semenov scored a pair of goals and Drew Bird added another as Carrick (5-4-2-1) beat Knoch (6-6-1-1) in Division 2. Mick Ritts scored two goals and Synjun McHatttie added another for the Knights.
Chartiers Valley 4, Blackhawk 0 – Noah Callender had two goals and an assist, Ryan Kumpf and Darien Strosnider also scored and Brady Nairn and Tyler Held each had two assists for Chartiers Valley (12-1) in a Class A win over Blackhawk (7-6).
Deer Lakes 8, Elizabeth Forward 2 – Ryan Grunden racked up five goals and added an assist to lead Deer Lakes (10-4) to a Division 2 win. RJ Norkus had two goals and two assists, Jaydin Eisenman also scored and Mason Cervone doled out three assists. Bobby Boord Jr. and Patrick Malanda each had a goal and an assist for Elizabeth Forward (7-7).
Fox Chapel 6, Bishop McCort 3 – Dominic Casile had two goals and an assist and Tucker Cullen added a goal and two assists to lead Fox Chapel (9-2-1) to Class 2A win. Trip Goehring had a goal and an assist. Mark Pazniak had a goal and an assist for Bishop McCort (5-7-1).
Latrobe 4, Hempfield 0 – Four players scored and Brock Pflugh made 23 saves to lead Latrobe (11-2) past Hempfield (3-8-1) in Class 2A. Kaleb Trice, Brogan Murphy, Cam Mikulsky and Jackson Hayburg had goals and Joey Crimboli dished out two assists.
Morgantown 7, Bishop Canevin 1 – Jacob Hollander and Cooper Cox each collected two goals and three assists and Ayden Shepard also scored twice to lead Morgantown (14-1) to a Division 2 win. Fionn Hites scored for Bishop Canevin (8-6).
Seneca Valley 3, North Allegheny 0 – Braden Morin had two goals, Andrew Malichky also scored and Christopher Nichols made 14 saves to lead Seneca Valley (10-1) past North Allegheny (6-5) in Class 3A.
Thomas Jefferson 2, Pine-Richland 1 – Liam Mahoney and Cam Lorenzi each scored a goal to lift Thomas Jefferson (7-9) past Pine-Richland (3-8-1-1) in Class 3A. Carson Verszyla scored the lone goal for the Rams.
