High school roundup for Nov. 11, 2024: Unbeaten Mt. Lebanon drops Upper St. Clair

Chayce Stasiowski had two goals and an assist to lead undefeated Mt. Lebanon to a 4-1 victory over Upper St. Clair in PIHL Class 3A hockey Monday night.

Xavier Bias and Aiden Ziolkowski also scored for Mt. Lebanon (6-0). Jackson Rose had a goal for Upper St. Clair (3-3-1).

Avonworth 7, Freeport 1 – Cooper Powell collected two goals and two assists and Austin Dzadovsky added two goals and an assist to lead Avonworth (5-2) to a Class A win. Linus Jesionowski had a goal and two assists and Jack Dolan and Connor Ralston each added a goal and an assist. Jacob Miller scored for Freeport (1-5).

Baldwin 5, Norwin 4 (SO) – Gabe Herrle scored the tying goal with 27 seconds left in regulation to help Baldwin (1-3-1) to a Class 2A win. Logan Cramer scored twice and Nate Buys added a goal for Baldwin. Dom Cerilli had a hat trick and Mason Mohman added a goal for Norwin (0-5-1).

Burrell 9, Neshannock 2 – Mike Morazcyzk had three goals and three assists and Julian Kemp also scored a hat trick to lead Burrell (6-1) in Division 2. Luke Mink had two goals and an assist, Harry Hensel also scored and Forrest Baird dished out four assists for Burrell. Brady Liguore had a goal and an assist and Sam Mezzanotte also scored for Neshannock (4-2).

Deer Lakes 7, Wilmington 1 – Ryan Grunden had a hat trick and RJ Norkus added two goals and two assists to lead Deer Lakes (4-3) to a Division 2 win. Mason Cervone had a goal and an assist and Trevor Keenan also scored. Evan Dinardo had a goal for Wilmington (0-3).

Gateway 6, Carrick 3 – Gavin Grant and CJ Evans each had a goal and an assist to lead Gateway (1-5-1) to a Division 2 win. Connor Olson added a goal and an assist and Beau Ritson also scored. Ivan Manculich, Shane Birkenfeld and Max Hagen scored for Carrick (3-1-2).

Meadville 9, Kiski 0 – Robert Mahoney scored five goals and ZT Travis added a pair to lead Meadville (3-4) past Kiski (0-6) in Class A.

Montour 5, Shaler 4 – Cole Dallas and Trey Varga scored a minute apart late in the third period to lead Montour (4-2) to a comeback victory in Class A. Aiden Moskovitz had a third-period goal and two assists and Thomas Barefoot collected two goals and two assists for Montour. Chase Irwin had two goals and an assist, Darius Malecki added a goal and an assist and Colby Colamarino also scored for Shaler (6-1).

Moon 6, Butler 4 – Landon Watson had three goals and an assist and Quin Tyler added a goal and two assists to power Moon (6-1) to a Class A victory. Clayton Foster and Jordan Rieke each had a goal and an assist. Mason Huey scored twice, Anthony Trombatt had a goal and two assists and Mason Heichel added a goal and an assist for Butler (1-4-2).

Ringgold 6, Sewickley Academy 0 – Landon Vacarro had a goal and two assists and Braidee Blackburn made 27 saves to lead Ringgold (4-1) to a shutout win in Division 2. Mathew Shirer, Bruce Santina and Brady Lippert had a goal and an assist apiece. Jack Carlson made 45 saves for Sewickley Academy (0-7).

South Fayette 4, Bethel Park 3 – Robert Chiappetta and Eli Petter each had a goal and an assist and Ivan Kalinkou and Nathaniel Keller also scored as South Fayette (3-3-1) came back from a 3-0 deficit with three goals in the third period to secure a Class 3A win. Lucas Bombich scored twice and Nick Hosbach also scored for Bethel Park (1-5).

Thomas Jefferson 3, Pine-Richland 2 – Derek Schliebner, Lucas Blose and Michael Burns scored as Thomas Jefferson (4-3) took a three-goal lead and held on for a Class 3A victory. Carson Verszyla had a goal and an assist and Josh Lanyard also scored for Pine-Richland (2-4).
