High school roundup for Nov. 13, 2025: Franklin Regional hockey beats Upper St. Clair for 1st win

Brendan Yohe scored twice to lead Franklin Regional to a 3-1 win over Upper St. Clair in PIHL Class 3A hockey Thursday night.

Ryan Crouse added a goal and Payson Neff made 29 saves for Franklin Regional (1-3-2). Cooper Stutzman scored for Upper St. Clair (2-2-3).

Armstrong 9, Norwin 4 – Jake Graff had a hat trick, Thomas Luffey scored twice and Aiden Morando dished out four assists to help Armstrong (6-2) to a Class 2A win. Brody Broban had two goals and two assists and Cal Constantino and Parker Toth each had a goal and an assist for Norwin (1-5-1).

Avonworth 7, Plum 2 – Owen Stiers had two goals and an assist and Austin Dzadovsky added a goal and an assist to lead Avonworth (5-1-1) to a Class A win. Tyler Bartos scored twice for Plum (2-3).

Bethel Park 3, Cathedral Prep 1 – Tyler Miller scored twice, Peter Velisaris also scored and Kevin Teamann made 29 saves to lead Bethel Park (5-2-1) to a Class 2A victory. Chris Bruschi scored for Cathedral Prep (1-3-1).

Bishop McCort 5, Hempfield 4 – Zakhar Bryndin scored a hat trick and Ben Cannizzaro had a goal and an assist to send Bishop McCort (6-2) to a Class 2A win. Giulio DiPietro scored twice and Nathan Planey and Andrew Bryant each had a goal for Hempfield (6-2).

Blackhawk 5, Beaver 1 – Finn Conlon scored a hat trick and added an assist, Daniel Ostrom added a goal and an assist and Bryce Leiper also scored for Blackhawk (4-0) in a Class A win. Colin Justice scored for Beaver (2-5).

Butler 10, South Park 1 – Lucus Hensler, Mason Heichel and Greyson Steadman each had two goals and an assist and Aden Devore added a goal and three assists to power Butler (4-1) to a Class A win. Josh Jackovic scored for South Park (1-5).

Central Valley 4, Wilmington 0 – Luca Iannessa had a hat trick, Cameron McGuire also scored and Ben Woods made 28 saves to power Central Valley (2-3-1) to a Division 2 win. Craig Patterson made 36 saves for Wilmington (1-4).

Chartiers Valley 13, Wheeling Catholic 2 – Jackson Chorney scored four goals and Tyler Held had a six-point night with a goal and five assists as Chartiers Valley (6-0-1) rolled to a Class A win. Rowen Parker had a goal and an assist for Wheeling Catholic (0-5).

Connellsville 3, Burrell 1 – Mason Mazak, Nolan Wojnar and Sam Denny scored to help Connellsville (4-1) to a Division 2 win. Dante Taliani scored for Burrell (5-2-1).

Mars 4, West Allegheny 1 – Shay Clark had a goal and two assists and Jack Weaver, Alexander Gatto and Xavier Bossola also scored to lead Mars (6-0-1) to a Class A win. John Wineland scored for West Allegheny (4-3).

Mt. Lebanon 4, North Allegheny 3 (SO) – Xavier Bias scored twice, William White added a goal and an assist and Sam Shinn made 34 saves for Mt. Lebanon (2-4) in a shootout win in Class 3A. Kyle Imm scored the tying goal in the third period for North Allegheny (5-1-1).

Neshannock 4, Ringgold 0 – Shane Johns had a goal and an assist and Tripp Johns made 28 saves to lead Neshannock (7-1) to a Division 2 win over Ringgold (5-2).
