High school roundup for Nov. 24, 2025: AJ Leah nets 4 in Plum win

AJ Leah scored four goals to send Plum to an 8-3 victory over Greensburg Salem in PIHL Class A hockey Monday night.

Josh Lewis finished with a goal and three assists, Colby Bartos had a goal and two assists, Tyler Bartos added a goal and one assist and Scott Pushic also scored for Plum (3-5). Jake Fink scored twice and Jeremiah Faulk added a goal and an assist for Greensburg Salem (3-7-1).

Bethel Park 6, Norwin 1 – Kai Decker had two goals and an assist, Peter Velisaris also scored twice and Lukas Crisson and Ezra Kozek each had a goal as Bethel Park (6-2-1) won in Class 2A. Cal Constantino scored for Norwin (1-6-1).

Blackhawk 4, Meadville 1 – Grant Shroads had a goal and two assists, Finn Conlon and Bryce Leiper each added a goal and an assist and Daniel Ostrom also scored for Blackhawk (6-1) in a Class A win. Nick Engels scored for Meadville (3-5-2).

Carrick 4, Sewickley Academy 3 – Landon Jeffrey scored twice and Max Hagan and Chris Tomassi each had a goal and an assist to lead Carrick (2-6) to a Division 2 win. Max Kopf, Cale Saftner and Jacob Stanislaw scored third-period goals for Sewickley Academy (1-7-2).

Chartiers Valley 3, South Park 1 – Ryan Viola had a goal and an assist and Austin Tornabene and Jackson Chorney also scored to help Chartiers Valley (8-0-1) to a Class A win. Corey Mooney scored for South Park (1-7).

Franklin Regional 5, South Fayette 0 – Grant Williams collected a goal and three assists and Payson Neff made 17 saves to lead Franklin Regional to a Class 3A shutout. Joey Casella, Brendan Yohe, JJ Tensuan and Brian Compton also scored and Ryan Crouse dished out three assists for Franklin Regional (3-4-2). Jackson Ankrum made 31 saves for South Fayette (4-6).

Hampton 5, Richland 1 – Joseph Stephenson and Dillon Fogle each had two goals and an assist and Preston Cochran also scored to power Hampton (4-3-1) to a Class A win. Mitch Timcik scored for Richland (0-8).

Knoch 5, Connellsville 4 – Synjun McHattie scored a hat trick, Brady Linamen added a goal and two assists and Mitchell Myers also scored for Knoch (8-3) in a Division 2 win. Matty Smith had a goal and an assist and Liam King, Logan Hause and Will Whittaker also scored for Connellsville (6-3).

Morgantown 7, Wilmington 4 – Branden Custer and Justin Daffner each scored twice and Dominic Petrucci added a goal and two assists to lead Morgantown (5-3-1) to a Division 2 victory, Alex Rodgers scored twice for Wilmington (1-5).

Quaker Valley 8, Moon 4 – Jack Watson led the way with two goals and an assist and Matthias Lezama and Luke Koehler each added a goal and two assists to send Quaker Valley (9-1) to a Class A win. Max Gergely had a goal and two assists for Moon (7-2-2).

Seneca Valley 5, Central Catholic 2 – CJ Gworek, Owen Martin and Braden Morin scored third-period goals as Seneca Valley (8-0) broke a 2-2 tie and rolled to a Class 3A win. Morin’s goal completed his hat trick. Chris Sargo and Bailey Donahue scored for Central Catholic (5-2-2).

Shaler 6, Baldwin 3 – Matthew Stelitano had two goals and an assist and Colby Colamarino also scored twice for Shaler (3-4-1) in a Class 2A win. Roman Angelo had a goal and an assist and Chase Irwin also scored. Austin Klein, Ryan Zeppuhar and Nate Buys scored for Baldwin (3-7-1).

Upper St. Clair 1, North Allegheny 0 (SO) – Owen Laurent made 24 saves to lead Upper St. Clair (4-4-3) to a Class 3A shootout win. Chris Costa made 24 saves for North Allegheny (5-2-2).

West Allegheny 5, North Hills 2 – John Wineland finished with two goals and two assists, Chase Noel added a goal and an assist and Noah Figley and Logan McKee also scored for West Allegheny (5-4) in a Class A win. Jonathan Trosky had a goal and an assist and Cole Hunt also scored for North Hills (4-3-1).
