High school roundup for Nov. 29, 2025: South Fayette rolls, GCC’s Erica Gribble sets record in clash of No. 1 teams

Haylie Lamonde scored 21 points to lead five players in double figures as Class 5A South Fayette defeated Class 3A Greensburg Central Catholic, 75-48, in a matchup of preseason No. 1 girls basketball teams at the North Allegheny tournament Saturday.
Juliette Leroux added 13 points, Ella Vierra and Lailah Wright had 12 apiece and Kenzie Rumberger chipped in 10 for the Lions (1-0).
Erica Gribble scored 16 and Jayla Peterson added 10 for the Centurions (0-1). With 1,730 points, Gribble became Greensburg Central Catholic’s all-time girls basketball leading scorer, breaking Ashley Henderson’s record of 1,725 from 2007.
Allderdice 62, West Mifflin 42 – Bailey White scored 28 points to lead Allderdice (1-0) past West Mifflin (0-1) in the Play 4 Mae tournament at Woodland Hills. Ajah Malloy added 13 points while Rhyan Sledge tallied 12. West Mifflin was paced by A’ryah Scott’s 20 points.
Berlin Brothersvalley 62, Penn-Trafford 45 – Coral Prosser scored 28 points to lead Berlin Brothersvalley (1-0) to victory against Penn-Trafford (0-1) in the Play 4 Mae tournament at Woodland Hills. Sam Walker chipped in 13 points in the win while Torrie DeStefano paced Penn-Trafford with 11 points.
Burgettstown 50, Mapletown 13 – Paige Klodowski scored 22 points to power Burgettstown (1-1) past Mapletown (0-2) in the consolation game at the Avella tournament.
Burrell 54, West Shamokin 27 – Chase Coury scored 21 points and Kendall Coury had 15 points off of five 3-pointers as Burrell (1-1) defeated West Shamokin (0-2) in the consolation game of the Armstrong tournament. Evie Grantz (13 points) and Aubrey Reefer (11 points) accounted for all but three of West Shamokin’s points.
Butler 48, Armstrong 33 – Led by 12 points from Emily Hoffer, 11 from Emily Cornish and 10 from Eva Stutz, Butler (2-0) won the championship game of the Armstrong tournament. Mary Duncan led the River Hawks (1-1) with 10 points.
Canon-McMillan 50, Chartiers Valley 43 – Lauren Borella had 15 points and Madison Clair added 12 as Canon-McMillan (1-0) defeated Chartiers Valley (0-1) in nonsection play. Alyssa Davis scored a game-high 20 points for Chartiers Valley.
Deer Lakes 39, Yough 38 – Delaney Derose and Josie Farster each scored 10 points to power Deer Lakes (2-0) past Yough (1-1) in the championship game of the tournament hosted by the Lancers. Brooke Kowalski led the Cougars with 10 points.
Derry 36, Springdale 33 – In the consolation game of the Springdale tournament, Ashlyn Corbett had 10 points as Derry (1-1) defeated the host team. Maggie Simonetti scored 13 points for Springdale (0-2).
Geibel Catholic 72, Beth-Center 24 – Emma Larkin scored 27 points to lead Geibel Catholic (2-0) over Beth-Center (0-2) in the Jefferson-Morgan tournament. Mallory Clemmer added 21 points for Geibel while teammate Alexa Morgan chipped in 13 points.
Hampton 65, Leechburg 19 – Katie Christy scored 16 points and Claire Scholtz added 13 as Hampton (2-0) won the championship game of the tournament hosted by the Blue Devils. Adalyn Zanotto scored nine points to lead Leechburg (1-1).
Indiana 43, Williamsburg 39 – Laken Kugler scored 12 points as Indiana (2-0) won the championship game of the Forest Hills tournament. Levada Gorsuch scored 22 for Williamsburg (1-1).
Keystone Oaks 60, Eden Christian 36 – Nina Deweese’s 29 points led Keystone Oaks (2-0) to the win against Eden Christian (1-1) in the South Side tournament. Natalee Tortorella added 20 points and Hannah York 10 points.
Ligonier Valley 46, Carmichaels 35 – Adleigh Myers scored 14 points and Alyssa Queer had 11 points as Ligonier Valley (1-1) beat Carmichaels (0-2) at the Jefferson-Morgan tournament. Ruby Smith added 10 points for Ligonier Valley while Ke’Lani Chun led Carmichaels with 13 points.
Lincoln Park 54, Winchester Thurston 43 – Patty Weselowski hit for 27 points and Maddi Jannuzi added 12 to lead Lincoln Park (2-0) to a win in the championship game of the Lincoln Park/Western Beaver tournament. Jasmine Hollins scored 27 to lead Winchester Thurston (1-1).
McKeesport 61, Aliquippa 47 – At the Play 4 Mae tournament at Woodland Hills, Dannah Sebelia had 21 points as McKeesport (1-0) defeated Aliquippa (0-1). Adriana Allison added 13 points, Emily Eisenberg had 11 and Sunny Harper chipped in 10 for McKeesport.
Montour 62, Quaker Valley 60 – Claire Bannon scored 21 points as Montour (2-0) overcame a big game from Quaker Valley’s Mimi Theiro to win at the tournament hosted by the Spartans. Thiero hit five 3-pointers and scored 44 points for the Quakers (0-2). Reese Votjecky scored 15 and Tiffany Miller added 13 for Montour.
Riverside 54, New Castle 28 – Emma Meyer scored 15 points to lead Riverside (1-1) in the Laurel tournament. Rhiauna Brothers led New Castle (0-2) with 13 points.
Sewickley Academy 61, South Side 24 – Nina Caputo scored 15 points to lead four players in double figures for Sewickley Academy (1-1) at the tournament hosted by the Rams (0-2). Emma Eannarino added 14 points, Grace Jardini had 13 and Charlotte Morton finished with 12 for the Panthers.
Shady Side Academy 57, Imhotep Charter 42 – Karis Thomas hit six 3-pointers on the way to scoring 30 points as Shady Side Academy (1-0) beat Imhotep Charter (0-1) in the Play 4 Mae tournament at Woodland Hills.
Thomas Jefferson 63, Knoch 24 – Maggie Spell scored 18 points to lead Thomas Jefferson (2-0) over Knoch (0-2) at the Montour tournament. Emma Atavilla chipped in 13 points and Riley McCabe added 10 points.
Trinity 55, Mt. Lebanon 47 – In the North Allegheny tournament, Sutton Williamson scored 13 points and Gabriella Humphreys and Bentley Layhue had 12 points each as Trinity (2-0) defeated Mt. Lebanon (0-1). Reese Hall led Mt. Lebanon with 10 points.
Trinity Christian 38, Jeannette 36 – Savanna Terry scored 21 points and Elena Myers added 13 as Trinity Christian (2-0) won the championship game of the Springdale tournament. Navarah Smith scored 16 and Leah DeFelice added 12 for Jeannette (1-1).
Union 41, Laurel 36 – Tournament MVP Olivia Benedict scored 12 points to lead Union (2-0) to a win at the Laurel tournament. Callie Baker hit three 3-pointers and finished with 11 points for the Spartans (1-1).
Western Beaver 42, Ellwood City 24 – Liz Squicquero scored 19 points and Taraji Backur added 17 to lead Western Beaver (1-1) to a win in the consolation game at the Lincoln Park/Western Beaver tournament. Carah Kreitzer scored 18 points to lead Ellwood City (0-2).
West Greene 60, Jefferson-Morgan 9 – Madelyn Roberts scored 17 points and Jillissa Yeate added 12 as West Greene (2-0) defeated tournament host Jefferson-Morgan (1-1).West Greene lead at halftime, 36-2.
York Suburban 50, Belle Vernon 7 – Jordyn Williams scored 18 points as York Suburban (1-0) defeated Belle Vernon (0-1) in Woodland Hills at the Play 4 Mae tournament.

Allderdice 42, Montour 39 – Markus Kuhn had 11 points for Allderdice (1-0) in a nonsection win against Montour (0-1). Mark Carter scored 19 points for the Spartans.
Avella 52, Frazier 36 – Brayden Fuller scored 15 points and Cam Ullom had 13 as Avella (1-1) beat Frazier (1-1) in the championship game of the McGuffey tournament. Austin Stewart paced Frazier with 14 points while Kolby Stewart scored 13 points.
Beaver 59, Franklin 44 – Junior Marino hit for 25 points and Jake Peluso followed with 11 for Beaver (1-1) in the Shenango tournament consolation game. Jameson Wofford scored 18 points to lead Franklin (0-2).
Bishop Canevin 75, Belle Vernon 67 – At the Lincoln Park tournament at Geneva College, Drew Allen scored 26 points to lead Bishop Canevin (2-0) past Belle Vernon (1-1). Damar Olds finished with 19 points and Lamier Wade added 14 for the Crusaders. Luca Ghilani and Elijah Majors scored 18 points each while Curty Wade chipped in 16 for Belle Vernon.
Blackhawk 71, Rochester 45 – Carter Davis led with 27 points and Marco Fusetti followed with 26 as Blackhawk (2-0) defeated Rochester (0-2) in the Ellwood City tournament. Max Lyons had 12 points to lead Rochester.
Butler 54, Obama Academy 52 – Andrew Gettinger finished with 25 points and Stainton Forbes added 18 for Butler (1-0) at the Lincoln Park tournament at Geneva College. Naron Jackson II had 19 points and 10 assists and Zion Conner added 17 points for Obama Academy (0-1).
Canon-McMillan 51, Trinity 38 – Roman Koenemund hit for 22 points to lead Canon-McMillan (1-0) to a nonsection win. Chase Kostelnik led Trinity (0-1) with 12 points.
Chartiers-Houston 51, McGuffey 41 – In the consolation game of the McGuffey tournament, Aaron Walsh had 14 points as Chartiers-Houston (1-1) beat the host Highlanders. Ayden Janovich scored 13 points for McGuffey (0-2), which led 26-18 at halftime.
Deer Lakes 58, Armstrong 41 – Collin Rodgers and Evan Moore scored 22 points apiece to lead Deer Lakes (2-0) past Armstrong (1-1) in the championship game of the tournament hosted by the River Hawks. Jaydon Oliver led Armstrong with 13 points.
Ellwood City 51, Union 31 – Kaleb Servick scored 24 points to lead Ellwood City (2-0) to a win at the tournament hosted by the Wolverines. Aaron Lake added 13 points and Maykel Cuevas had 11 for Ellwood City. Landon Eckert led Union (0-2) with 10 points.
Jeannette 68, Windber 26 – Kymon’e Brown scored 15 points and Markus McGowan added 13 as Jeannette (2-0) defeated Windber (0-2) at the Latrobe tournament.
Latrobe 71, Indiana 58 – Ian DeCerb scored 20 points to lead four players in double figures as Latrobe (2-0) pulled away from Indiana (0-2) in the third quarter at the tournament hosted by the Wildcats. Sawyer Butina scored 15, Michael Monios added 12 and Rob Young chipped in 10 for Latrobe. Will Olsen scored 26 and Aaron Webb had 15 for Indiana.
McKeesport 57, Beaver Falls 14 – Lamont Perkins scored 22 points to lead McKeesport (1-0) past Beaver Falls (0-1) at the Lincoln Park tournament at Geneva College.
Moon 70, Imani Christian 46 – Jackson Bauman scored 17 points to lead Moon (1-0) past Imani Christian (0-1) at the Lincoln Park tournament at Geneva College. Caden Kopay added 14 points and AJ Buford had 10 for the Tigers.
Quaker Valley 82, Richland 49 – Nic Cohen scored 26 points, Zachary Washington added 22 and Sam Chapman hit for 18 to lead Quaker Valley (2-0) past Richland (0-2) at the Latrobe tournament. Glaiden Hale led Richland with 17.
Ringgold 77, Elizabeth Forward 62 – Braylen Lomax and Takeo Tolliver scored 16 points each as Ringgold (1-1) beat Elizabeth Forward (0-2) at the MVI Shootout at West Mifflin. David Wachinski scored 15 points and hit three 3-pointers, Demetri Lowe added 11 points and Dennis Hawkins contributed 10 points for Ringgold. Elizabeth Forward’s Tyler Basic hit five 3-pointers and led all scorers with 26 points.
Riverside 69, Sharpsville 38 – Cole Becker scored 25 points to lead Riverside (2-0) to a win at the Laurel tournament. Logan Young added 17 points and McCartney Plassmeyer had 12 for the Panthers. Peyton Lee led Sharpsville (0-2) with 11 points.
Riverview 69, Steel Valley 48 – Rex Roberts scored 22 points and Ben Franciscus added 18, including three 3-pointers, to lead Riverview (1-0) at the Play 4 Mae tournament at Woodland Hills. Connor Fitzgerald scored 16 to lead Steel Valley (0-1).
Serra Catholic 75, West Mifflin 38 – Kris Sharp had 10 points in Serra Catholic’s win against host West Mifflin (0-2) in the MVI Shootout. Tyler Sapida added 10 points for the Eagles (1-1). Julian Dewberry scored 11 and Eli Kurta had 10 for the Titans.
Seton LaSalle 59, Brashear 39 – Jaleel Wright scored 21 points to power Seton LaSalle (1-0) at the Play 4 Mae tournament at Woodland Hills. Gabe Gizzi added 12 points and Charlie Crummie finished with 10 for the Rebels. Trevon Rosario scored nine points to lead Brashear (0-1).
Shaler 74, Burrell 40 – Deron Nixon and Nick Perez scored 18 points apiece to lead Shaler (1-1) in the consolation game of the Burrell tournament. Ryan Wass scored 14 to lead the Bucs (0-2).
Shenango 61, Grove City 48 – Caleb McConnell scored 21 points to lead Shenango (2-0) in the championship game of the tournament hosted by the Wildcats. Taegan Russo added 19 and Nick Garczewski had 11 for Shenango. Ben Fischer led Grove City (1-1) with 21 points.
Summit Academy 49, Apollo-Ridge 46 – Demetrius Crosby scored 29 points and Ky’zir Rowan added 14 to send Summit Academy (2-0) to the Leechburg tournament championship. Zane Beatty scored 21 to lead Apollo-Ridge (1-1).
Thomas Jefferson 74, South Allegheny 50 – Nick Trklja scored 32 points to win a duel with South Allegheny’s Drew Cook and lead Thomas Jefferson (2-0) to a win at the MVI Shootout. Cook scored 31 points, including eight 3-pointers, and Smaj Reason added 12 points for South Allegheny (1-1). Justin Fry scored 19 for the Jaguars.
Valley 69, Leechburg 41 – Dae’lyn Moore scored 25 points to lead Valley (1-1) past Leechburg (0-2) in the consolation game of the tournament hosted by the Blue Devils. Dawson Wall and Kane Wilson added 11 points each for the Vikings. Mason Scitticatt scored 22 to lead Leechburg.
West Allegheny 68, Avonworth 52 – Josiah Johnson scored 20 points and Donovan O’Connor had 15 points and 13 rebounds as West Allegheny (1-0) defeated Avonworth (0-1) in nonsection play. Sam Sciliano added 10 points while King Henke scored 10 points and had six steals. Will Shields scored a game-high 23 points for Avonworth.
Westmont Hilltop 58, Derry 54 – Jack Wesner scored 24 points as Westmont Hilltop (2-0) beat Derry (1-1) in the championship game of the Burrell tournament. Grant Craig added 21 points for Westmont Hilltop. Stanley Rajkovich collected 23 points and Logan Irvin had 12 for Derry.
Winchester Thurston 75, South Side 41 – At the South Side tournament, Michael Hammerlina scored 31 points to lead Winchester Thurston (1-1) to the win. Anthony Pipkin added 21 points for Winchester Thurston while Andrew Corfield and Logan Leatherman scored 15 points each for South Side (1-1).
York Suburban 68, Gateway 50 – Silas Leonard scored 20 points to lead York Suburban (1-0) at the Play 4 Mae tournament at Woodland Hills. Mykel Bruce-McCrommon and Jax Vovaris scored 15 points and Chris Settles added 10 for Gateway (0-1).
