Lilly Snyder, Lauren Muhana and Julia Shaver scored to lead Moon to a 3-2 victory over Bethel Park in Section 2-3A girls soccer Wednesday night.
Kendall Dydek, Ally D’Alesio and Emma Marquis added assists for the Tigers (3-0, 3-0). Callee Dalbon and Keira Mehalko scored as Bethel Park (2-2-1, 1-2) rallied from a three-goal deficit.
Ambridge 3, Freedom 1 – Norah Marchionda, Mikayla Wetzel and Kat Benkowski scored to lead Ambridge (3-2) past Freedom (2-2) in a nonsection win.
Avonworth 2, Central Valley 1 (OT) – Alessia Padalino scored twice, including the game-winning goal in overtime, to propel Avonworth (2-2-1, 2-0) to a Section 3-2A win over Central Valley (2-3, 0-2).
Belle Vernon 3, Ringgold 0 – Ava Scalise scored two goals and Grace West added another to lead Belle Vernon (3-3, 2-1) past Ringgold (2-2, 1-2) in Section 1-2A.
Bentworth 2, Waynesburg 1 – Bella Moyer and Brielle Dillon scored for Bentworth (4-0, 1-0) in a Section 2-A win over Waynesburg (3-1, 0-1).
Burrell 8, Valley 0 – Maggie Nesko and Leah Waldsmith scored two goals apiece for Burrell (3-0-1, 1-0) in a Section 2-2A win over Valley (1-2, 0-1). Miley Kariotis, Makiah Buchak, Parker Moore and Megan Barczykowski added a goal apiece for the Bucs.
Chartiers-Houston 7, Beth-Center 0 – Amelia Brose led Chartiers-Houston (2-0, 1-0) with four goals and Ava Capozzoli added three in a Section 2-A win over Beth-Center (1-2, 0-1).
Deer Lakes 5, Yough 0 – Claire Cacurak and Tessa Hollibaugh had two goals apiece, Reese Waruszewski also scored, and Mikayla Potter preserved the shutout for Deer Lakes (2-2, 1-0) in a Section 4-2A win over Yough (3-2, 0-1).
Eden Christian 5, OLSH 1 – Lara DeFazio scored two goals and Allie Emswiler converted a penalty kick to lead Eden Christian (2-2-1, 2-0-1) to a Section 1-A win over OLSH (1-3, 1-2).
Ellis School 8, Jeannette 1 – Emily Hummert and Sonia Palit scored two goals apiece to lead Ellis School (1-2, 1-2) to a Section 4-A win over Jeannette (0-1, 0-1). Talia Dubowitz, Marley Ervin, Akiera King and Harper Kuzmanko also scored for Ellis.

Freeport 3, Shady Side Academy 0 – Nia DiSanti had a goal and an assist and Camryn Woods and Peyton Los also scored to lead Freeport (3-0, 1-0) past Shady Side Academy (1-3, 0-1) in Section 2-2A. Alyssa Alcorn made four saves to preserve the shutout.
Kiski Area 2, Elizabeth Forward 1 – Ellie Arnold scored both goals to lead Kiski Area (2-3, 2-1) to a Section 4-3A win. Mia Valerio scored for Elizabeth Forward (1-2, 1-2).

Mt. Pleasant 10, Ligonier Valley 0 – Morgan Gesinski scored a hat trick and Rylin Bugosh and Isabel Overly each added a pair of goals to lead Mt. Pleasant (3-0, 1-0) to a Section 4-2A shutout victory against Ligonier Valley (1-2, 0-1). Addison Czekaj, Brooklyn Ulery and Camryn Kapr each netted a goal for the Vikings.
North Allegheny 6, North Hills 0 – Emma Schupansky scored two goals and Maggie Nestor recorded the shutout to lead North Allegheny (2-1, 1-0) to a Section 3-4A win over North Hills 1-3, 0-1). Maddie Miller, Bella Montgomery, Rowan Bassotti and Averie Bierker also scored.

Plum 8, West Mifflin 0 – Emily Grubich had two goals and two assists while Gianna Revetta added two goals and one assist as Plum (4-0, 3-0) recorded its fourth straight shutout to open the season in a Section 4-3A win over West Mifflin (1-2, 0-2). Allison Porter, Olivia Bigger, Serena Carnahan and Meghan Stammer each added a goal and the duo of Makenna Anderson and Malayna Smith combined on the shutout for the Mustangs.

Nyla Kiral, Annmarie Graham and Ali King combined on the shutout.

West Allegheny 8, Trinity 1 – Chloe Hart recorded a hat trick and Kylie Holtz added two goals and two assists as West Allegheny (3-1-1, 2-0) rolled to a Section 2-3A victory over Trinity (0-3, 0-3). Olivia DeLuca, Kassidy Knaus and Ella Smith each netted a goal for the Indians. Chloe Makola scored for the Hillers.

Allderdice 1, Montour 0 (OT) – Aidan Thomas scored, assisted by Dan Mrsic, to lead Allderdice (2-2-1) past Montour (4-1) in a nonsection win. Ozan Matveiev recorded the shutout.
Brentwood 11, Valley 0 – Carlos Duran scored four goals and Chris Lopez had a hat trick to lead Brentwood (3-0) to a nonsection win over Valley (0-3).
Girls volleyball
Leechburg 3, Geibel 0 – Addie Zanotto had seven kills and five aces and Ava Ferretti added five kills to lead Leechburg (1-2) to a nonsection win. Abi Rollinger and Elsa Zalenski each recorded three kills for the Blue Devils.
