Anthony Maiello scored the overtime winner to lift Peters Township to a 2-1 victory over Mt. Lebanon in Section 2-4A boys soccer Thursday night.
Cole Celedonia also had a goal for Peters (3-0-2, 2-0). Ignatios Darakos scored for the Blue Devils (4-2, 1-1).
Avonworth 16, Mohawk 0 – Jimmy Quinn and Santi Angelelli had two goals and an assist, Charlie King added two goals and an assist and Nate Kline, Calder Mahan and Hal Bevington also scored twice to help Avonworth (4-1, 2-1) to a Section 2-2A win over Mohawk (0-4, 0-3).
Beaver 6, Keystone Oaks 0 – Anthony Furda scored a hat trick, Ryan Perez had two goals and an assist and Seth Kullen added a goal and an assist for Beaver (4-0, 4-0) in a Section 2-2A win over Keystone Oaks (1-2, 1-2).
Beaver County Christian 9, South Side 1 – Zach Stephens recorded a hat trick and had three assists while Ethan Guevara and Kian Wilsey each scored a pair of goals to lead Beaver County Christian (4-0, 1-0) to a Section 1-A win over South Side (2-2-1, 0-1). Liam Birchler and Mike Lanigan added a goal each for the Eagles.
Bentworth 7, Chartiers-Houston 0 – Ryan Moessner scored five goals, Adam Moessner added two goals, Billy Moyer dealt out three assists and Isaac Vipperman preserved the shutout for Bentworth (5-0, 2-0) in a Section 2-A win over Chartiers-Houston (2-4, 0-2).
Beth-Center 16, California 0 – Nekoda Bundy scored four goals and Parker Amos collected three goals and five assists to send Beth-Center (4-1, 2-0) past California (0-1, 0-1) in Section 2-A. Acie Lawrence, Dominic Stopka and Jacob Stopka each had two goals, Jonah Teluch, Kaleb Amos and Joseph Minucci also scored and Kaleb Amos and Parker Amos combined on the shutout.
Bethel Park 12, McKeesport 0 – Xavier Jackson collected three goals and three assists and Youssef Benrabia also had a hat trick as Bethel Park (2-1-1, 2-0-1) beat McKeesport (0-3, 0-3) in Section 2-3A. Rowan Darr had two goals, Jason Koerbel added a goal and an assist, Ellis Stearman, Cooper Kicinski and Luke Rubican also scored and Jacob Coffield and Kolton Battung combined on the shutout.
Charleroi 7, Greensburg Salem 3 – Dylan Klinger netted four goals, Otis McIntyre added a pair and Blake Pendo also scored to lead Charleroi (4-1, 3-0) to a Section 4-2A win. Benny Kimmel scored a hat trick for Greensburg Salem (0-5, 0-2).
Chartiers Valley 3, Baldwin 2 (OT) – Kevin Angel scored the game-winning goal in overtime for Chartiers Valley (2-1, 1-0) in a Section 4-3A victory over Baldwin (0-5, 0-3).
Deer Lakes, Highlands 0 – Collin Rodgers, Peyton Kushon, Cuyler Crim and Jacob Orseno scored and Wesley Boyle recorded the shutout for Deer Lakes (4-1, 3-0) in a Section 1-2A win over Highlands (1-2, 1-2).
Elizabeth Forward 2, McGuffey 1 – Aidan Davis and Ronald Hallas scored to lead Elizabeth Forward (2-3, 2-1) to a Section 3-2A win over McGuffey (5-1, 2-1).
Franklin Regional 4, Blackhawk 0 – Fabrizzio Costa netted a pair of goals and Liam Greenbaum and Aiden Alexander also scored to help Franklin Regional (5-0) to a nonsection victory over Blackhawk (1-5).
Hampton 2, Kiski Area 0 – Mason Hall scored both goals for Hampton (2-1-1, 1-0-1) in a Section 1-3A win over Kiski Area (1-3, 1-2).
Latrobe 3, Belle Vernon 0 – Levi Porvaznik, John Massaro and Jacob Stephenson scored to lift Latrobe (1-1, 1-1) to a Section 3-3A win over Belle Vernon (3-3-1, 2-1).
Ligonier Valley 5, South Allegheny 2 – Michael Vargulish-Graver led the Ligonier Valley (1-3, 1-2) attack with a hat trick as the Rams defeated South Allegheny (1-4, 0-3) in Section 3-2A.
Moon 1, West Allegheny 0 – Hayden Dunn scored in the first half and Will Guarino held strong in net as Moon (3-3, 3-0) hung on for the shutout in Section 4-3A against West Allegheny (1-3, 1-1).
Mt. Pleasant 3, Yough 2 (OT) – Bryson Bankosh scored a goal, Tyke Snyder converted a penalty kick and Gavin Rummel netted the game-winning goal in overtime off a feed from Austyn Gross to lead Mt. Pleasant (4-1, 3-0) past Yough (2-2, 2-1) in Section 4-2A. Isaac Pacacha scored twice for the Cougars.
North Catholic 5, Freeport 0 – Angelo Amelio scored twice and Arthur Mendonca had a goal and two assists to power North Catholic (4-1, 2-1) past Freeport (3-2, 1-2) in Section 1-2A. Austin English and Justin Garvey also scored and Dylan Shantz recorded the shutout for the Trojans.
Norwin 6, Hempfield 2 – Maksim Miller scored a pair of goals to pace Norwin (1-3-1, 1-0) in a Section 1-4A win over Hempfield (1-4, 0-1). Ian Natale, Ryan Schoemer, Joseph Walton and Jack Lepore each added a goal for the Knights. Braden Crowe scored twice for the Spartans.
OLSH 10, Bishop Canevin 0 – Brady Hernandez and Owen Minzer scored two goals apiece for OLSH (3-0, 1-0) in a Section 3-A win over Bishop Canevin (0-3, 0-1). Issac Tarbuk, Jake Huet, Chad Minton, Peter Zink and Colby Lane also scored for the Chargers.
Penn Hills 2, Gateway 1 – Chase Gonzales and Jesse Truman scored to lead Penn Hills (1-3-1, 1-0) to a Section 1-4A win over Gateway (0-4, 0-1).
Seneca Valley 6, Butler 0 – Owen Eastgate scored two goals for Seneca Valley (6-0, 1-0) in a Section 3-4A win over Butler (2-2, 0-1). Chase Lively, Zach White, Max Gochis and Michael Pokrzywinski also scored for the Raiders.
Seton LaSalle 6, Steel Valley 0 – Tyler Kovalcik scored two goals to lead Seton LaSalle (5-0, 3-0) to a Section 3-2A win win over Steel Valley (1-3, 1-2).
Shady Side Academy 9, Burrell 0 – Mark Bence and Manek Gerhardy each scored a pair of goals and had an assist while Beau Bruch contributed two goals as Shady Side Academy (2-1, 2-1) rolled Burrell (2-2, 2-1) in Section 1-2A.
Shaler 4, Knoch 3 – Alex Gaetano had two goals and Tyler Shaw and Conor McClean also scored as Shaler (3-2, 2-1) got past Knoch (1-3-1, 0-2-1) in Section 1-3A.
Southmoreland 5, Derry 0 – Hunter Ryan scored two goals while Reed Pollard, Ben Schaeffer and Jack Smith each added a goal as Southmoreland (2-3, 1-1) shut out Derry (0-3-1, 0-2-1) in Section 4-2A.
Springdale 11, St. Joseph 0 – Mason Mattie racked up four goals and three assists and Brennan Mattie finished with two goals and two assists as Springdale (2-0, 1-0) defeated St. Joseph (0-2, 0-1) in Section 4-A. Alex Wylly had two goals and an assist and Christian Stresky recorded the shutout.
Thomas Jefferson 9, Albert Gallatin 0 – Owen Householder had a hat trick, Gavin Kern had two goals and Tyler Surrena, Cody O’Hare, Aydin Hajiyev and Tiago Ochoa added a goal apiece to lead Thomas Jefferson (5-0-1, 2-0-1) to a Section 2-3A win over Albert Gallatin (1-3, 0-2).
Trinity 4, Ringgold 1 – Cooper Cincinnati scored two goals and Jacob White and Brady Anderson each chipped in a goal as Trinity (2-1, 2-0) beat Ringgold (2-2, 1-2) in Section 2-3A. Nate Alvarez scored the Rams’ only goal.
Waynesburg 9, Brownsville 1 – Brendan Cole scored four goals for Waynesburg (1-2-1, 1-1-1) in a Section 4-2A win over Brownsville (1-5, 0-3).
West Mifflin 3, Uniontown 1 – Cameron Morris scored two goals and Cooper Hilligsberg added one to lead West Mifflin (2-2-1, 1-0) past Uniontown (1-4, 0-2) in a Section 3-3A win.

Highlands 7, Brashear 0 – Ella Pager had a hat trick, Payton Bundy added two goals and Jocelyn Boch and Hailee Rankin had a goal apiece to lead Highlands (1-3) to a nonsection win over Brashear.
North Catholic 1, Karns City 0 – Megan Heinbach scored the winning goal in a nonsection victory for North Catholic (5-1).
Quaker Valley 4, Sewickley Academy 0 – Hope Waller scored a pair of goals as Ari Bosh and Rowan Wallace each netted a goal to boost Quaker Valley (4-1) to a nonsection win against Sewickley Academy (2-1).
Seton LaSalle 4, Keystone Oaks 1 – Kennedy Bakota scored a hat trick and Tori Carter added a goal to send Seton LaSalle (4-1) to a nonsection win over Keystone Oaks (3-3) in the battle of McNeilly Road. Natalie Tortorella scored for the Golden Eagles.
South Allegheny 2, McKeesport 1 – Jazlyn Farnan and Aubrey Pacewicz scored to lead South Allegheny (1-3) to a nonsection win.
Girls volleyball
Beaver 3, Oak Glen 0 – Jaedyn Brown had 14 kills while Aubrey Bumblis had 12 digs and Malaya Oster followed with 10 as Beaver (1-0) swept Oak Glen in a nonsection match. Kayden Blinn dished out 22 assists for the Bobcats.
Brownsville 3, Washington 1 – Skyler Gates had 25 kills, seven blocks and nine digs, Ashley Evanchak finished with 20 digs and Kenzie Adams dished out 17 assists to lead Brownsville (4-0, 2-0) past Washington (1-1, 1-1) in Section 2-2A. Aijanae Foster added 10 kills and four aces and Ari Johnson had 13 assists and seven digs.
Canon-McMillan 3, Hempfield 2 – Natalie Carr had 20 kills, 16 digs and five aces to lead Canon-McMillan (3-0) to a five-set nonsection win over Hempfield (2-1). Lauren Howard had 14 kills, Preslee Horchak recorded 22 digs and 35 assists and Gabby Coccia had 10 kills and eight blocks for the Spartans. Jillian Sowers had 21 digs and Audrey Iwig added 17 digs. Journee Scott finished with 15 kills and four blocks and Carsen Brown had 21 assists and 10 digs for the Big Macs. Aurora Shirdon and Amanda Ciolli each had 10 digs.
Frazier 3, Greensburg Central Catholic 0 – Maddie Salisbury had 12 kills and Allie Monack had seven kills and 13 assists to power Frazier (2-1, 1-0) to a Section 4-1A win over Greensburg Central Catholic (0-3, 0-1).
Indiana 3, Franklin Regional 1 – Paige Fisanich had 19 kills and six digs and Chloe Hain dished out 23 assists to lead Indiana (4-0, 2-0) past Franklin Regional (1-3, 1-1) in Section 5-3A. Ellie Long added five kills and five digs, Allison Lichtenfels had five kills, Gianna Boyer finished with four kills and four blocks and Hannah Stone had 18 assists and five kills for Indiana.
Laurel Highlands 3, Elizabeth Forward 0 – Lucy Baker had nine kills and Diondra Brown contributed six kills and three blocks to lead Laurel Highlands (2-1, 1-0) past Elizabeth Forward (1-3, 1-1) in Section 3-3A. Sara Reed had 20 assists and eight digs and Harlie Dirdra added 10 digs for the Mustangs.
Mars 3, Butler 0 – Rylee Wooldridge had 14 kills, Cecilia Christy added 13 kills and Gabi Weidemann produced 27 assists as Mars (3-2) swept Butler (2-1) in nonsection play.
Mohawk 3, Laurel 1 – Reagan Magno had eight kills, nine blocks and nine digs and Riley Shaffer finished with 12 assists and five digs to lead Mohawk (3-1, 1-0) past Laurel 0-3, 0-2) in Section 4-2A. Sara Hampson had 12 digs and five kills, Marli McBride added nine digs and four kills, Macey Tanner dished out 10 assists and served four aces and Emme Druschel had four kills and three blocks for the Warriors.
Montour 3, South Fayette 2 – Annett Christian had 10 kills and six blocks, Sloane Cotten added nine kills and two blocks and Alina Vlasch had seven kills to lead Montour (2-2, 1-0) past South Fayette (1-3, 1-1) in Section 1-3A. Zoe Woessner had 23 assists and four aces, Catherine Schmidt added 12 assists and Delaney Barto had 15 digs for the Spartans.
New Brighton 3, Freedom 2 – Mya Beauford handed out 23 assists, Chloe Huddy had 15 digs, Ameera Walker finished with five blocks and Elise Gerrich served six aces to lead New Brighton (2-2, 2-0) past Freedom (1-1, 0-1) in Section 1-2A.
South Allegheny 3, Keystone Oaks 0 – Ally Chizmar had seven kills and two aces, Regan McBeth added six kills and Cadence McBride finished with four kills and a block to lead South Allegheny (3-1, 2-0) past Keystone Oaks (0-3, 0-1) in Section 2-2A.
Thomas Jefferson 3, Albert Gallatin 0 – Riylee Abel had eight digs, seven assists and an ace, Gabby DeLorenzo had seven digs and MiKayla Shea had six digs and three aces for Albert Gallatin (0-2, 0-2) in a Section 3-3A loss to Thomas Jefferson (3-1, 2-0).
