High school roundup: South Fayette girls edge West Allegheny in overtime

Brenna McGuire scored 4 minutes, 40 seconds into overtime to lift South Fayette to a 3-2 victory over West Allegheny in a Section 4-AAA girls soccer game Wednesday night.
McGuire scored all three goals for the Lions (4-0-2). Sara Meindl and Rachel Weis had assists.
Taylor Goldstrohm and Courtney Hurey scored for West Allegheny (2-4, 1-3).
North Allegheny 6, Shaler 1 — Emma Bundy had two goals to help North Allegheny (4-1, 2-0) win in Section 1-AAAA.
Seneca Valley 3, North Hills 0 — Paige Brady, Norah Seibel and Kailah Hinkle scored as Seneca Valley (5-1, 1-1) won in Section 1-AAAA.
Canon-McMillan 5, Baldwin 1 — Jaiden Williams had two goals, and Jess Cadez, Riley O'Korn and Maura O'Donoghue all had goals to lift No. 3 Canon-McMillan (3-0, 2-0) to a Section 2-AAAA win.
Knoch 1, Gateway 0 — Lindsie Galbreath scored on an assist from Sarah Vafaf to help Knoch (4-1, 1-1) tally a Section 1-AAA win. Becca Stockert made seven saves in the win.
Thomas Jefferson 4, Trinity 0 — In Section 3-AAA, Dalaney Ranallo and Lia Manning each had a goal and assist, and Gel Campano and Julia Saltzman also scored to lift No. 3 Thomas Jefferson (5-1, 3-1) to victory. Madison Sippey earned the shutout.
Bentworth 2, Bishop Canevin 2 — Jocelyn Timlin scored twice for No. 4 Bentworth (4-1-1, 3-0-1), which rallied to tie Bishop Canevin (3-1-1, 2-0-1) in Section 2-A.
Vincentian Academy 6, Neshannock 0 — Emma Farmer scored three times to help Vincentian Academy (3-2, 2-0) earn a Section 3-A win.

Peters Township 193, Chartiers Valley 230 — Coach David Kuhn earned his 300th career victory, as Peters Township won in Section 7-AAA. Parker Johnson shot 34 for the Indians (11-1, 7-0).
