Imani Christian is among the WPIAL’s smallest schools, but Penn State has landed a big football recruit from there two years in a row.

David Davis, a highly recruited junior, committed Tuesday to the Nittany Lions. The 6-foot, 190-pound defensive back shared a top-six list in January that included Penn State, Pitt, West Virginia, Cincinnati, Michigan State and Nebraska.

He announced his decision on social media.

Recruiting website Rivals rated Davis as a three-star prospect and ranked him 17th among Pennsylvania recruits in the 2026 class. He’ll join Imani Christian linebacker Dayshaun Burnett, who signed with Penn State in December.

Davis played running back and defensive back for Imani Christian (11-1), which reached the WPIAL Class 3A semifinals this past fall. He scored 10 touchdowns and earned first-team all-conference honors as a kick returner.
